Gas Prices Not Keeping People Home From The North Dakota State Fair

Attendance for the opening weekend of the fair was up about 3,000 from last year.

A fair official is quoted as saying that attendance must have been up because gas prices kept people closer to home, but that’s a rather absurd way of looking at it.  Opening weekend attendance was 86,794.  There are only about 35,000 people in Minot, meaning that some of those people came from out of town.

Everyone wants to panic about gas prices, but again and again citizens and the economy their drive prove a lot more resilient than any of the hysterics want to admit.

Comments

Gas prices are only a problem for people who are unable to recognize they have much bigger problems than the price of gasoline.

I heard there was some kind of disturbance in front of the Democrat booth.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

It was my daughter marching around saying “Hippies go home.”

It was cute, but the booth attendants didn’t seem amused.

Actually Proof isn’t from North Dakota.

As for things to do, there’s “Not getting mugged” and “Not laying awake listening to the roar of traffic all night.” And also “Enjoy actually being able to see the stars and moon.

And, my favorite, “Not waiting in traffic for an hour to get to work.”

How much traffic could there possibly be between your house and the hog lot?

I told him that a couple of days ago. If Buzz wasn’t such a retarded liberal, he might actually learn something in his lifetime? Nah!

goat fucking routine

Buzz is projecting again. I wish he wasn’t quite so obsessed with me and so fascinated with deviant sex. It’s kinda creepy!

Buzz: The more you try to be insulting, the more the entire world knows what a worthless POS you are!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

But, who is Buzz, realy? Just a defender of liberty? Just a liberal cop on the beat, looking for injustice? No,no,no Buzz is more than just a crusader for what is right, and just. Buzz is a kind, giving sole. Someone you would buddy up to if you met him in a bar. (Not Proof’s gay bar hideout) Someone you would like your daughter to bring home for dinner. Yes thats the Buzz you all know and love.

Next to none.  That’s the point.

Properly filleted, maybe!

I see you’re still projecting your homosexuality on every on else. It’s okay to come out of the closet, Buzz! Besides! I thought you liberals thought that homosexuality was just another life style! So, why is it that the pencil necked, liberal geeks like Buzz are always using gay remarks as insults?
