Friday Funny: Democrats On An Escalator
Funny because it’s so, so true.
Funny because it’s so, so true.
“An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.”
-the late, great Mitch Hedberg
Classic. Mitch Hedberg was a genius.
The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.
Rich gooey irony.

Ceterum censeo Parthia esse delendam
Latin: “Furthermore, Parthia (Persia aka modern day Iran) should be destroyed.”
Childish.
Somehow all those NY Democrats
managed to get out of the
burning WTC.
Mitch Hedberg was a genius.
One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was seeing Mitch live a few months before he died. One of the best comedy shows I’ve ever been to (well except for the fact that Stephen Lynch also performed with him). You could tell he was spiraling out of control when he spilled his alcohol on stage and got on his hands and knees to lap it up like a dog.
seeing Mitch live
Lucky.
Woof, thank GOD they weren’t on an escalator!
Bike Bubba,
Heh!

I don’t think there were escalators in the upper levels of the WTC, genius.
But thanks for illustrating that you have no sense of humor.
The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.
Conservative columnist David Brooks today: “we are intensely social creatures, deeply interconnected with one another and the idea of the lone individual rationally and willfully steering his own life course is often an illusion”
Sounds like something someone who’s lived too long in a big city might say…
socialism: a form of psychosis closely related to (some suspect caused by) overcrowding.

Besides elevators to the observation deck there were many scattered throughout the WTC.
7 The Tower’s skylobby elevator systems separate express from local runs. There were 239 elevators and 71 escalators in the four buildings operated by the Port Authority at the complex.

I’m sure it was hilarious when the midwife
dropped you on your head.
We’re sure it was funny when your mother tripped over a rock and found you in the depression where the rock used to be.

There were no Democrats in the WTC. That was an office building where people worked.
Sadly, I have seen Elevator out of Order signs here, but then, I live in Rhode Island.
That would be “Elevator out of Order” signs on the escalators at the Providence Place Mall.
Actually, there was a proposal to ban escalators because of the Americans with Disabilities Act
