Free Documentary
The anti-Kerry documentary film, Stolen Honor, is causing quite a bit of controversy as Sinclair Broadcast Group plans to show it on its stations before the election without commercial interruption.
Now, however, the filmmakers have decided to allow the documentary to be distributed for free via the internet.
Washington, DC, Oct. 22 (UPI) — The controversial documentary on Sen. John Kerry’s anti-Vietnam War activities will be made available free to the public, it’s producer said Friday.
Producer Carlton Sherwood said “Stolen Honor” would be available on the Internet Monday and would also be available for screening or broadcasting.
“I want to be sure that every American who wants to see this film is allowed to do so,” he said in a news release. “Therefore, I am offering the film publicly to anyone who wants to see it.
“In addition, any media entity brave enough to air ‘Stolen Honor’ can contact us for a license to air the film, provided the entity will air the film in its entirety, and so too any individual who wants to show or broadcast it.”
Sounds like a swell deal to me. I haven’t seen the documentary yet and the Stolen Honor website doesn’t have the film up for download yet, but if you just can’t wait until Monday you can download it here.
Personally, I think there’s a lot of reasons to dislike Kerry as a candidate regardless of his military status so this documentary probably won’t have much meaning for me. But there are people out there for whom this issue could be the deciding factor for their vote and I think its important that they should get the opportunity to at least see this film.
I’m going to watch it, if only to see what all the hubbub is about.
