The usual victim-pimping, perpetually-outraged suspects are crying “racism!”

The only people that take cries of “racism” seriously any more are those making the charges.  Cry “Wolf” often enough and eventually no one cares.  So what?

That’s really a terrible term to use to refer to Michelle Obama. Outrageous. The only thing that’s more outrageous are the reasons the term is so prevalent.

“Baby mama” specifically refers to the not-married woman who is the mother of your child. In urban African-American culture, that reference is common because of the incredible number of children born out of wedlock.

Fox News should not have used the term “Baby Mama” to describe Michelle Obama. It is a derogatory term for a female that has borne children out of wedlock. On the other hand the term “Baby Daddy” is also a derogatory term used to describe the fathers who are not married to their children’s mother.

I don’t know that it is especially racist, since I live in a predominantly white area and have heard it used regularly by whites and Hispanics.

At any rate, it is a derogatory term and should not have been used.

As for being “racist”? You can be sure that anyone that opposes the election of Obama is going to be described as racist. If Hillary was running we would all be ‘sexists’.

Move_Zig.  I agree.  President Bush’s children, I do not believe campaigned for him the way Chelsea did.  When you campaign for someone, you also open yourself up for follow-up questions.  Yes, the left has demonized a good man and his daughters.  I remember someone dialing 911 to report the possible entrance of a persona under 21 into some club.  I need to try that sometime and see how far it gets a reaction.
