Fox News Tea Party Coverage Dominates CNN, MSNBC, Headline News Viewership Put Together

Wow…

image

Just to put those numbers into perspective, Beck at 5:00pm pulled in more viewers than Olbermann/Maddow on MSNBC plus all of CNN and Headline News’ viewers. And his 5pm hour was only the 4th best hour in prime time for Fox.
In fact, the only hour in which Fox didn’t beat CNN, MSNBC and HLN combined was the 7pm hour. And in that hour they just barely missed by 66.
Kind of puts all the scorn and derision heaped on Fox for daring to cover the tea parties in a positive light into perspective, doesn’t it?

    Fox didn’t sponsor anything.

  • Spartacus

In other news, Chris Mathews leg no longer tingles. MSNBC plays Righteous Brothers tune repeatedly for an hour.

  • Spartacus

Doesn’t reruns of the Simpsons have higher ratings than CNN or MSNBC?

Mickey, I think you’re confusing the Simpsons with Beavis and Butthead. Which I’m not so sure grew up to become executive producers at CNN and MSNBC

  • Buzz

    Fox didn’t sponsor anything.

    Yea, that’s a good one.

  • Pete

I’m glad to see CNBC telling the truth tonight that the stimulus spending is THE reason the recession has bottomed out and the stock market has turned around. Thanks to Obama the banks are solvent and making money again. First time jobless numbers are down, and credit markets are lending again. God bless the ONE for his quick decisive action, and not bending to the right-wing extremists. All this tea-bagging will be but just a footnote in a year or two when Obama has righted bush’s wrongs.

Wow, that’s some pretty delusional talk. Where to start… first of all, what did the stimulus do to make the banks solvent? If anything, TARP is what made the banks solvent and that has Bush written all over it. I personally don’t think TARP or the stimulus has had a damn thing to do with anything other than throw massive amounts of good money (or money created out of thin air? or our children’s money?) down the toilet. IF (and that’s a HUGE IF) the economy is starting to turn around again its because the market is finally starting to correct itself, something pretty much everyone said would happen around mid-2009 regardless of the stimulus and TARP or not. Judging by the numbers we saw today we certainly aren’t out of the woods yet but a mid-2009 to 3Q09 isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

  • Spartacus

Having fox sponsor them probably didn’t hurt much either.

    Unlike AIG, eh RBB?

  • Buzz

correct itself, something pretty much everyone said would happen

Pretty much everyone at fox, or pretty much all the cons you listen to on the radio? Because anyone with any economic background is praising the Stim and Obama.

Intelligent people can and do discriminate and find ways to The Truth.

  • Pete

Pretty much everyone at fox, or pretty much all the cons you listen to on the radio? Because anyone with any economic background is praising the Stim and Obama.

Here’s a newsflash for you buzz, just because CNBC, CNN, MSNBC, or even Fox News throws some cheer leading douche bag with the word “economic expert” under their name on the screen, doesn’t actually make them an actual expert. What exactly did the stimulus do to “get the banks lending again”? How exactly is the stimulus “making the jobless numbers go down”? As has been said many times, banks have ALWAYS been lending, even through this recession, its just that more recently they weren’t giving away money like water to people who weren’t going to pay them back. I fail to see what exactly this stimulus has done to “bring us to the bottom of the recession” especially since the numbers aren’t really that all that great. We are still losing hundreds of thousands of jobs every month and that will continue for the foreseeable future. Your economic “experts” are nothing more than Obama cheer leaders.

  • Bat One

So, Buzz, just how much of all that “stimulus” money has been spent so far, and what has it been spent on anyway?

  • Pete

Hey Buzz, I notice you don’t have any answers to any of my real questions, you’d rather respond to others with nonsense and diversion.

  • Buzz

Kitty and his butt buddy getting pissed because I get insurance and they don’t, that’s funny. It is a shame we can’t all be union, but there are standards. Unfortunately for you missing teeth and tattoos are not part of the standards. Maybe if you go back to school and get that high school diploma you could apply again.

  • Buzz

I work for a division of a fortune 100 company.

Wow, that’s impressive. Like the janitor that works in a bank that is owned by Citigroup? I wonder if he throws that line out also.

  • 2Hotel9

Again, boob, where is your proof that FoxNews sponsored any TEA Party events? Anything? Hello? McFly? Is anyone home?

  • Buzz

  • Bat One

So, Buzz. You gonna answer the question about how much stimulus money has already been spent and on what, or are you simply too ignorant to know what you’ve been talking about?

If you need more time… say to ask your union rep whether its okay to answer and what to say… just say so. I can get back to you later once you’ve been instructed how to answer.

  • Buzz

That’s a good kitty, stay in you own little bubble, or trailer park, what’s the difference.

The shame is you don’t have the ability to join a skilled craft union. Only then could you see the benefit of belonging to such a great organization. It’s not just the money, or the benefits, it’s the ability to get any job that has federal money tied to it. And guess what, all that Stim money is fed money. Priceless.

  • bill-tb

Well now we know why the CNN commentator who was at the rallies was so pissed off. Her stupid low ratings had a direct effect on her salary.

She should stick to reporting on the 6 tubby women dressed in pink. That was a protest more her speed.

    Did you expect something different?
    Does it surprise you?

  • Mickey

Doesn’t reruns of the Simpsons have higher ratings than CNN or MSNBC?

  • Pete

And you never will, because you don’t want to believe it. No matter what anyone says or how fast it gets better, none of you will ever give credit where it is due.

Believe what? I’ll ask again, and since you’re such an expert maybe you can give me an ANSWER…What exactly did the stimulus do to “get the banks lending again”? How exactly is the stimulus “making the jobless numbers go down”? And again… how are you so sure this so called economic recovery is due to the stimulus and not TARP? The only one with their head in the sand is you if you are really stupid enough to believe that a bill signed no less than two months ago is already working miracles, especially since very little of the stimulus money has even been spent yet.

  • 2Hotel9

That is funny, coming from someone who has told us the Holocaust never happened, and then said he wished more Jews were dead.

  • Spartacus

Kitty and his butt buddy getting pissed because I get insurance and they don’t, that’s funny.

I’m not sure who you’re referring to sod buster, but if it’s me, I work for a division of a fortune 100 company. No tats, and my teeth are cleaned for free every 6 months, no questions asked about dental work done that’s under $2k per year per person, costs me $4 dollars per pay period. Being non union is a win-win…if you posses skills the public needs!

  • Spartacus

UNION benefits pay you cash! Like Aflac only better.

“cause that steak he’s eating tonight while he’s on “disability” could have been ice cream cones for his fellow workers children tonight, but those wretched kids mean nothing to Buzz. It’s all about Buzz, fuck his union brothers wretched kids, the little blood sucking leaches!

  • 2Hotel9

Too bad you don’t have Union bennys, just your welfare access card and Medicaid to rip off.

  • Spartacus

First time jobless numbers are down, and credit markets are lending again.

Credit markets have been lending all along. Dead beats with bad credit are the ones that couldn’t get loans. I took on a vehicle loan last November for 3.25%, for a gas guzzling big carbon footprint SUV, HEH! As for jobless numbers, the UAW only has until June to continue viewing their world through those rosy glasses, after that a bankruptcy judge will tell them what they’re worth.

  • 2Hotel9

And yet more blatant lies from the welfare whore, buzzed. You so funny.

  • Buzz

I fail to see what exactly this stimulus has done to “bring us to the bottom of the recession”

And you never will, because you don’t want to believe it. No matter what anyone says or how fast it gets better, none of you will ever give credit where it is due. You would be one that says that the holocaust never happened also. Just another nut job, that no one gives a fuck about. Keep your head in the sand.

  • Spartacus

I wonder if he throws that line out also.

I don’t know Buzz, why don’t you ask? In the mean time why don’t you ask you’re union brothers if they appreciate your feasting on steak at the cost of their children giving up having an ice cream cone for your personal gain.

  • 2Hotel9

Pete, buzzed never answers any questions. That is why I heap derision upon it every time it toddles in amongst its superiors.

  • Buzz

And yet more blatant lies from the welfare whore,

Yep, feels pretty good to know I’m protected by my UNION benefits. Too bad the scabby kitty has none.

Hurt and out of work? UNION benefits pay you cash! Like Aflac only better.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/readers/author/realitybasedbob/ realitybasedbob

Looks like Ms. Kelly’s assertion that “[fox] was the only organization to give it any publicity or p.r.” worked.

Having fox sponsor them probably didn’t hurt much either.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Maybe MSNBC should sponsor some next time.

  • 2Hotel9

Its a shame you are not in any Union, and have to lie about being a welfare whore. Come on. Fess up, we won’t laugh. Too hard.

  • 2Hotel9

No, the shame is you don’t belong to a Union and are a welfare whore.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Fox didn’t sponsor anything. They covered the events.

But you keep running scared, Boob. Pretend like none of this really matters.

  • Liam

MSNBC altered footage of a Tea Party rally. Trying to declare the Tea Party as racist, they showed a man with a rifle on his back. The footage was looped to only show the rifle. Beck on Fox showed the whole footage and the man was an African-American standing for his 2nd Amendment Rights.
It is clear that most all of Main Stream Media is highly biased and will go as far as to misrepresent the truth. It's a sad time we live in and I am personally thankful for the few sources like Fox that are not bowing to the intimidation of the White House administration, the liberal propaganda machine MediaMatters, and radical fringe groups like SEIU.

Democrats are shying away to speak truth.Obamas achievements during short span of 2 years are historic. He has restored sanity to economy and bridled the CAPITAL which devasted the american life.It is true that on employment front, the recovery has been slow but steady.GOP is a NO party and hence power cannot be returned to them.On lay off front,I suggest that Postal department,as in India can be expanded to Banking sector. For middleclass and labour, who invest in Banks for zero interest is rediculous part of economy.Follow India and postal department can also sell savings bonds and life insurance.India postal department has done great job and employed millions.American capital need to pay interest on public savings.I estimate that in conservative estimate, can employ 5 millions stafferes to man these departments.Public will also get guarantee for return instead of Madoff who ran away with billions.Little savings in postal bonds, government bonds, municipal bonds during life can provide americans with three pensions as prudent indians do.Myself,I draw three pensions with official pension from Insurance corporation who was my employer.
