Fox News Reporter Starts To Cry During Interview With Polygamists

Way to stay objective.

Comments

I have been watching this and how the media is sympathizing with the mothers of these children.  The way I see it is that they are obviously hiding the fact that 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 year old girls are encouraged to “marry” these older men in the name of their religion. These ladies keep avoiding the questions. It gives me the creeps that in the name of religion children are being sexually abused. The women themselves appear to be brainwashed.

Wow....I thought that Ken’s post about how to stop zombie armies rampaging through the streets was just a joke, and the evening news gives us three zombies made almost to order.

Would it KILL the reporter to, say, NOTICE that these women are showing little to no emotion despite being deprived of their children, and ASK what brought these women to this point?

(instead of doing the crying for them...well, I guess you’ve got surrogate moms, so maybe you can contract out your emotions, too)

If these kids have been basically been arrested because they’ve been abused & impregnated....
If they’ve been taken from their parents because they’re pregnant....
Why aren’t the junior high & high school aged mothers taken from their families?
It’s such a common occurrance in Texas that the schools provide day care for the off-spring & even installed seat belts in the busses to properly install the baby seats.
.
..
If the main deal was the men molesting the little girls, why are the little girls “jailed” & not the men?
.
..
THere are far too many questions still unanswered.

Zsa Zsa the girls aren’t being encouraged, thay are being forced.  They have no choice but to marry the man chosen for them, and worse, they don’t know of any other lifestyle.

RebTex, the children have not been arrested, they have been removed from abusive parents/families, that have systematically raped and brainwashed them.  The same would happen if the father had allowed it without the guise of religion to hide behind.

As for why the men haven’t been arested, I have no clue, they should be, and the mothers appear to be in need of a deprogrammer.

In the intrest of honest debate, I’ll wait & see…
But as for the need of a de-programmer, have you noticed how the MSM referrs to this group as “polymamist group” or “polygamist cult” ?

RebTex on April 16, 2008 at 10:16 am

Anthony, I agree, the word “encouraged” was totally wrong. It is so very apparent that these women have been put through some serious brainwashing. I can only imagine how the children must seem if their mothers allowed them to be raised in this environment.
The BIG question is WHY haven’t the Adults been warned and OR arrested? Are the accusations against this polygamist sect based on facts? Where is the evidence? Will DNA testing be the only way to know for sure? AND without birth certificates how will their ages be confirmed? The women ("mothers") are not talking.

As much as I feel sorry for these women I have to ask are/were they co conspirators to what was allegedly happening there?

And shouldn’t they have a no Liquor Lips sign behind them?

Not these particular ladies, but another had the biggest unibrow I believe I have ever seen on a woman! I feel sorry for her!

Zsa Zsa on April 16, 2008 at 11:57 am

I don’t feel the reaction of the mother was sincere. I heard forced emotions coming from her.
As for the reporter? Ohmigawd ... obviously, her bleached hair has taken root in her brain. LOL, shes the one we should feel sorry for, poor thing .. life has to be difficult being that loony.

I find it odd that some of you are taking a wait and see approach and then call these ladies brainwashed. Can you have it both ways?

DanielJ1 on April 16, 2008 at 01:09 pm

Daniel, What else are we suppose to do other than wait & see? Don’t you think without proof & evidence of some kind it is a little dangerous for the State or any Government department to impose themselves on any private sect?
It appears these women are rather gooned out (brainwashed). BUT when it comes to protecting children it is an entire different issue. So yes, I guess if that is what you mean by having it both ways. State officials better make sure they have proof!

The state really screwed the pooch on this one and there are already lawyers lined up to help make them pay.

The way the state is now housing those children can be considered child abuse in and of itself. The people that were brought to the Astrodome from New Orleans had more living space and access to more “amenities” then these children do. Prisoners have more space and amenities too.

Now before you all jump on me for being a “supporter” of the FLDS I am not. But I have seen how these children have been treated and how they are being housed by the state and I will guarantee each and every one of you that if the state tried to do this to your kids you would go down shooting to protect them.

ennis on April 16, 2008 at 02:22 pm

I believe that Texas does have enough evidence, to justify taking the children at least.  For the time being the judge is allowing the state to keep the children, and one report I heard mentioned children younger than 17 that were pregnant.

As for not having birth certificates, then the state will just have to do the best it can, and I am fine with that.  But reports from Colorad City (in Arizona) mention some girls being forced into marriages at 15.

And I believe that the adult women are vistims too.  They have been raised in those “circumstances” and don’t know any difference, and by now probably can’t imagine a difference.  Without them being willing to change then I don’t think there is much that can be done for the adults, either legally or morally.  But the children can still be protected from what amounts to human monsters.

dude

its like some SNL skit. foxnews interviews little house on the prarie.

and people deny evolution.

“maw, we don’t come from monkeys now do we?”
“no honey, the giant man in the sky created us and all the creatures.”
“wow ma.”

all the accusations of cult this and that seem to beg the question. it seems to me we should not hold people to all pursue the same path, or accept the same proofs. nonetheless, we can’t be raping 12 year olds now.

maybe these zombies should move to thailand.
