Fox News Carl Cameron is an Idiot

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Check out this video of Carl Cameron who’s acting as if he’s got this inside information from McCain staffers, particularily saying that Sarah Palin didn’t know that Africa was not a country.

The problem is, the whole thing was a hoax.   That’s not much of a surprise.  I would think nearly accomplished person would know what Africa is and isn’t.

It was among the juicier post-election recriminations: Fox News Channel quoted an unnamed McCain campaign figure as saying that Sarah Palin did not know that Africa was a continent.

Who would say such a thing? On Monday the answer popped up on a blog and popped out of the mouth of David Shuster, an MSNBC anchor. “Turns out it was Martin Eisenstadt, a McCain policy adviser, who has come forward today to identify himself as the source of the leaks,” Mr. Shuster said.

Trouble is, Martin Eisenstadt doesn’t exist. His blog does, but it’s a put-on. The think tank where he is a senior fellow — the Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy — is just a Web site. The TV clips of him on YouTube are fakes.

And the claim of credit for the Africa anecdote is just the latest ruse by Eisenstadt, who turns out to be a very elaborate hoax that has been going on for months.

Now I’m not immune to falling for a hoax.  But in my opinion Cameron takes this hoax and gives it life.  After all he’s pretending that he actually talked to McCain staffers when said staffer who said that did not exist.

I’ve pretty much gotten away from any television news networks.  But after this I’m probably going to barf to see Cameron talk again.  He should jump ship to CBS where his kind of journalism is expected.

Shepard Smith is no better.  I’ve given up any shows that he’s on along time ago.  Shepard the one who, on election night said: “All you angry consevatives, get over yourselves, we have work to do.”  I’ll add any Cameron reports to my list of things that I automatically suspect as being false.”  Both of them can jump over to CBS and be right at home.

I completely agree with mnconservative.
It seems that shepherd smith jumped the shark when he was trying to win an award for reporting on the dregs of New Orleans after Katrina.
I’d rather listen to Joe Cocker emote the lines of Cosmo magazine than listen to that pompass turd.

He was one of the biggest NOBAMA cheer leaders during the primaries and the general election. If was fox I would look into sending him to CNN where this type of this is expected.

Breitbart has a great clip of Shep now from the Strategy Room freaking out when comedian Nick de Palva says the media is in the tank for Obama. You’ve got to go see it. If you do, can someone tell me who the heck those other two guys are, and what are they drinking in those glasses? It is a weird little scene.I should have gotten a link, if someone looks, put up a link here, it’s nuts.

I don’t know, or care what was said or gossiped about, true or not, but Carl comes off like a pervy little teenage dweeb in this clip. He called Greta VS and told her he didn’t handle this right at all, in hindsight. No sh#t, Carl! It looks like Inside Edition.

Carl is the RINO type that we need to shun, but keep a close eye on…....

I saw the ‘report’. He was giddy about popping this rumor out there…. a shame too….

I have never seen such a conspiracy in my entire life and I am almost 65 , where did these idiots come from journalistic jerks all of them and now we have a democrat bailout of guess who GE the light bulb people who could not sell one of their squiggly bulbs until the congress passed a law against the good old incandescent light , I have a stash of the old bulbs and will use them as long as I can. Cameroon is about as bright as a 40 watt florescent bulb . hey they cost 2,000 bucks to have them cleaned up if you break one, another democrat idea, they are the reason we flush two and three times because of toilet design has been taken from the companies and given to the congress.

You have it backwards.

It wasn’t a hoax that she didn’t know about Africa.

It was a hoax when the fake Eisenstadt claimed he was the source.

Really, this sort of stuff isn’t that hard, but the NYTimes story was unclear. It doesn’t say the leaks were a hoax, just that hoaxsters stepped forward with the fake Mr. Eisenstadt to take responsibility for them.

Fox claims it has sources, and won’t say who they were.

It may not be a hoax that some idiot is claiming Palin didn’t know Africa was a continent, but the claim itself isn’t true at all.

Only morons would believe it.

Well said about Carl Cameron.  His career should be put on hold just as he tried to do intentionally to the Alaskan Governor.  I will not watch Fox while he is on.  With Carl remaining at Fox the question of overall professional ethics remains outstanding.  Nor will I watch O’Reilly who lamely supported Carl.
