First Anniversary Of DC Vs. Heller

One year ago today the Supreme Court ruled on DC vs. Heller.  Justice Antonin Scalia wrote a majority opinion settling a dispute over gun rights I don’t think our founding fathers ever thought we’d face.  Namely, whether the right to keep and bear arms was an individual right or a collective right.

Scalia and the majority of Justices took our founding fathers’ view of gun rights.  That they are unalienable, individual rights that cannot be removed from we citizens without proper due process.

So celebrate, today.  Your right to keep and bear arms was upheld, and the ripple effects of that decision have yet to be seen I think.
