Finally: Israeli Warplanes Pound Hamas Targets In Gaza

There have been over 200 rocket attacks in the past few days into Israel and now, finally, Israel is hitting back and hitting back hard:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Israeli warplanes retaliating for rocket fire from Gaza pounded dozens of security compounds across the Hamas-ruled territory in unprecedented waves of air strikes Saturday, killing at least 145 and wounding more than 310 in the single bloodiest day in Gaza in recent memory.
Hamas said all of its security installations were hit and in response fired several medium-range Grad missiles at Israel, reaching deeper than in the past. One Israeli was killed and at least four were wounded.

Arab nations are, of course, ignoring the fact that Hamas is bringing this on themselves with their incessant rocket attacks on Israeli civilians and are protesting the attacks:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — The Arab world reacted in shock to the attacks on the Gaza Strip on Saturday with scattered protests around the region and Egypt summoning the Israeli ambassador to express its condemnation of the air strikes.
In a statement from the president’s office, Egypt condemned Israel’s attacks and held it responsible for those killed and wounded and called for renewed efforts to restore the truce with Hamas.

They’re shocked, shocked I tell you, that Israel would do such a thing. Here’s a news flash: Any nation in the world would respond with force if someone continually fired rockets across their borders and into their cities.
Hamas deserves whatever it gets and any loss of civilian life is their fault. It’s simple – stop shooting at Israel and Israel will stop shooting at them. Instead, they condemn their own people to a life of squalor and misery through their hatred. The Hamas government is inept and quite simply does not care about the lives of their citizens. Thay want blood. Period.
And now they’re getting it by the bucket.

    Are you kidding me?

Do you think those Hamas rockets are targeting the Israeli military? They’re not, dipstick, they’re targeting Israeli civilians.

Nah he is serious he like many leftists don’t think Israel shoud be able to defend themselves. He probably thinks the israels are illegally living in Arab lands.

What the story does not tell is just how often Israel has endured these rocket attacks. Almost daily. I am surprised there is a building left standing in Gaza. Who wants to live there anyway?!

How many of the 145 dead and 310 wounded were Hamas

    Every last one!
If they don’t want to be targeted in the future, they shouldn’t let the terrorists use them for shields.

Nalhamid, you are the perfect death cult tool. The tales you spin for the Palis are entertaining yes, true, no. THE PALIS HAVE NO FOOD OR MEDICINE BECAUSE OF THE EVIL JOOOS! How come everybody has AK’s and ammo and rockets? Because they smuggle weapons in, even the dumbest islamafool would throw a sandwich in the latest shipment. Wasn’t Tony Blair’s sister stranded in the Gaza while investigating food shortages only to be stupid enough to be photographed in a well stocked supermarket. THE GAZA IS A CONCENTRATION CAMP! Except with free power, water and a UNIVERSITY! The world pays welfare to the Pali men because they don’t have courage or decency to care for their own families.

“On October 21 (1948) the Government of Israel took a decision that was to have a lasting and divisive effect on the rights and status of those Arabs who lived within its borders: the official establishment of military government in the areas where most of the inhabitants were Arabs.”
    - Martin Gilbert, Israel: A History

Distinguished British historian, Arnold J. Toynbee: “The treatment of the Palestinian Arabs in 1947 (and 1948) was as morally indefensible as the slaughter of six million Jews by the Nazis. Though nor comparable in quantity to the crimes of the Nazis, it was comparable in quality.”

Golda Meir “It was not as though there was a Palestinian people in Palestine and we came and threw them out and took their country away from them. They did not exist.”

In 1949 the United Nations counted 711,000 Palestinian refugees.

In 2005 the United Nations Relief and Works Agency estimated 4.25 million Palestinians and their descendants were refugees from their homeland.

As far the Arab world was concerned, the establishment of the Jewish state, in their neighborhood and on their watch, was indeed a catastrophic event. In fact, it was cataclysmic, because Israel was undeniable evidence that the rise and domination of the Islamic world, led by the Arabs was indeed over. Notwithstanding Arab failures for over a thousand years, the establishment of Israel was a truth that not even the Arab world could deny. That catastrophe worsened as Israel ascended into the first world and they fell even further behind.

Israel not only reflects Arab failure, she also reflects the successes of western ideologies and western predicates for success.

Israel should receive no preferential treatment from the US. If anything, Israel deserves condemnation from the US for atrocities committed against Palestinians.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I have read here. What the hell do you want Israel to do? Just take the missile attack, I am sure you probably think they deserve it and I am sure you will say that evil USA is probably to blame as well? Holy cow. Hypocrisy in Action:
Where were Egypt, Russia, OIC, EU, Britain, Sarkozy, US & Austria when Hamas was pounding Israel with daily barrage of rockets?

…AND where was the “We’re all about peace” anti-Israel UN, perhaps?

As usual, they were off appearing to broker a peace deal, while bartering to give away more of Israel’s land, and working with the media to make the Palestinians out to be the trodden underdogs who were attacked out of the blue by those mean ol’ Israelis.

It is a sickening hypocrisy. I used to read the Bible where it says that all nations will be against Israel and I believed it by faith, but I couldn’t fathom that all nations would stoop to such an ignorance of the consequences and lack of reverence for God’s Word. It is clearer than ever that God knew what He was talking about and we see it happening before our eyes.

No one is more surprised than Shlomo Sand that his latest academic work has spent 19 weeks on Israel’s bestseller list — and that success has come to the history professor despite his book challenging Israel’s biggest taboo.

Dr Sand argues that the idea of a Jewish nation — whose need for a safe haven was originally used to justify the founding of the state of Israel — is a myth invented little more than a century ago.

“Prof. Zand teaches at Tel Aviv University. His book, “When and How Was the Jewish People Invented?” (published by Resling in Hebrew), is intended to promote the idea that Israel should be a “state of all its citizens” – Jews, Arabs and others – in contrast to its declared identity as a “Jewish and democratic” state. Personal stories, a prolonged theoretical discussion and abundant sarcastic quips do not help the book, but its historical chapters are well-written and cite numerous facts and insights that many Israelis will be astonished to read for the first time.”
    - Haaretz Newspaper

An expert on European history at Tel Aviv University, Dr Sand drew on extensive historical and archaeological research to support not only this claim but several more — all equally controversial.

In addition, he argues that the Jews were never exiled from the Holy Land, that most of today’s Jews have no historical connection to the land called Israel and that the only political solution to the country’s conflict with the Palestinians is to abolish the Jewish state.

The success of When and How Was the Jewish People Invented? looks likely to be repeated around the world. A French edition, launched last month, is selling so fast that it has already had three print runs.

Translations are under way into a dozen languages, including Arabic and English. But he predicted a rough ride from the pro-Israel lobby when the book is launched by his English publisher, Verso, in the United States next year.

Pilgrim. the biggest concentration camp in the history of the world is Gaza. The sad truth is that no one is stopping this onslaught. Rather Israel is encouraged to fight on. I know that many of you are God fearing men and women who shouldn’t gloat over other people’s misery, even if they be Muslims.

The “who started it” argument is a load of shit.

This is reality, where time spent pointing fingers is time spent losing innocent civilians to millenium-old land-grabs. Nobody’s ever going to assign final blame for the “beginning” of these conflicts. They’ve been going on longer than we’ve had adequate means of reliable news.

I support Israel’s way of life, especially in stark contrast to the rather militant Hamas regime, but I realize that the issue is far from black and white. Hamas gained power through a primarily free democratic election, because they took care of their own. Israel has a history of treating Palestinians like shit, so guess what? when somebody came and offered the average Joe a hospital, some food, and a place to stay, the average Joe backed them in elections.

Unilateral peace agreements, with recognition of Palestinian sovreignty, and a long-term cease-fire, in which israel does not submit to the whims of the newly formed free Arabic state. There has to be equilibrium. Anybody who thinks this is a one-way-or-the-other issue, can return to fifth grade world cultures class.

The way I see it, there are very few western Israelis in palestine. They’re not “using” the land, and if Palestine wants independence, let them have it. Your second option is a continuation of sectarian violence.

  • nalhamid

Neiman, I know you’re a Zionist and understand your zeal to protect Israel no matter what, but my point is that what’s happening to the people of Gaza is wrong.

    Lasse Wilhelmson Wrote:

“The Jewish colonisation of Palestine under the Zionist slogan “the land without people to the people without a land” started almost a hundred years ago and reached its first climax with the proclamation of The Jewish State of Israel in 1948. A second climax is now in the offing through the ongoing colonisation of the West Bank and Gaza.”

“All Jews living outside Israel are entitled by law to immigrate and become citizens immediately, while the Palestinian refugees who were expelled from their homes are prohibited from returning. This is a violation of international law. Israel is the only country in the world that defines its land as belonging to just one group of its citizens, namely Jews. This law works as a fundamental national apartheid law and turns all Jews into potential enemies of the Palestinians.”

“Israeli ID cards indicate whether the holder is Jewish or not and Jews in Israel may not marry non-Jews. Non-Jewish Israelis cannot purchase government-owned land. Many Arab villages in Israel are not zoned as residential areas, as a result of which they have no access to public services such as electricity and water. The disqualification of most Arab Israelis from military service reinforces discrimination as regards to social benefits, education and the like.”

“Colonising Palestine continues today on the West Bank and in Gaza according to the practical plan presented by Theodor Herzl in his book “The Jewish State” (1896). The book is mainly about how the project could be financed and how land in Palestine could be transferred to Jewish ownership. The plan was affirmed by the first Zionist Congress 1897.
Herzl had some important starting points for the Zionist Project.
    * Anti-Semitism cannot be remedied by the assimilation of Jews.
    * Jews are a race of people with a right to their own state.
    * Palestine (or Zion) is the home of the Jewish State. The goal is a socialist Utopia – a model state
The term Zionism was, however, conceived by Nathan Birnbaum in 1885. Together with Herzl he made up the leadership of the Zionist World Organisation. Later on he became a spokesman for Judaism in the Diaspora – outside Israel/Palestine.”

“The fundamental ideology of Zionism however evolved much earlier with Moses Hess. He was one of Germany’s earliest renowned Socialists. He was a Utopian, a Hegelian and a good friend of Karl Marx. Hess also wrote a contribution to The Communist Manifesto (1848) on the question of Religion as opium to the masses. He is considered by Zionists as the first Zionist. As he grew older he dissociated himself from Marx and “returned” to his People, that is to say Judaism. Marx shunned Hess’ chauvinistic ideas. “Communist Rabbi Moses” as he was also called, wrote Zionism’s Magnum Opus which Herzl later referred to as the book which says everything there is worth saying about Zionism.”

“his book, “Rome and Jerusalem” was published by Hess in 1862. He was inspired, amongst others, by Spinoza. He defines the Jewish Nation by the following components:
    * The Jewish race – superior and chosen
    * Palestine – the homeland of the Jewish people
    * The Jewish religion – the best guarantee for Jewish nationality.”

“After the first Zionist Congress, the renowned Marxist Ber Borochov developed the rigorous policies of the Zionist Project. He argued territorial concentration as a solution to, among other things, the Jewish question. He founded Poalei Zion, the Marxist Zionist Party which supported the Russian Revolution in 1917. David Ben Gurion, one of the Party members and Israel’s founder, came to Palestine at the beginning of the twentieth century. He considered himself a Bolshevik and was in favour of the dictatorship of the proletariat in all countries, except Palestine where he favoured the dictatorship of Zionism. Ben Gurion considered Jewish national interests superior to class interests in Palestine: a clear case of unmitigated National Socialist leanings.”

I think the they have shown very much restraint in not doing this before now. We have one questionable preacher say this and that we are supposed to go by, and one x president that loves the Muslims with all of his might . Naw! I will go with the majority here ,.. I do see the film of the ones captured by Islam in Baghdad and they were tortured and killed and then dragged through the streets and burned and hung from a bridge. so far I have not heard one peep out of the Muslims that claim to be peaceful against this type of treatment of our captured troops .They made another film of a beheading and showed it to the world is that a religion of peace? Jabotinsky died in 1940 before the proclamation of The State Of Israel. He founded the Jewish terror organisation Irgun which committed its most horrible deeds during the expulsion of the Palestinians. The Lehi, a splinter group headed by Stern, murdered Folke Bernadotte who was the UN representative and mediator. The man who pulled the trigger became Ben Gurion’s good friend and security guard when he retired to the kibbutz Sde Bocker. The leaders of both organisations — Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir — later became Prime Ministers of Israel.”

“Many countries which think of themselves as modern, attempt to do away with religious thinking from the Middle Ages, mainly by the separation of Church from State and laws against racism. The opposite has occurred in Israel. The revival of classic Judaism in Israel’s politics can be seen as an expression of Zionist expansion, thus increasing opposition to the Palestinian Arabs.”

“Israel Shahak discusses the influence classic Judaism has on Israel’s policies in his book “Jewish History, Jewish Religion” (1996). For a long period of time Shahak was chairman of Israel’s Society for Human and Civil Rights. He is especially critical of the double moral standards kept by prominent left wing intellectual Jews, particularly Martin Buber, the well known philosopher. Buber criticized Nazism while commending the Jewish Religion (Hassidism) but keeping quiet about its dehumanising of non-Jews (goyim). These double standards act to increase Israel’s chauvinism and hatred of all non-Jews. Israel’s Peace Movement has been accused of harbouring similar sentiments.”

You mean to tell me there is not another direction to go in over there it is all sand so whats the difference rather then sit there and complain about the rockets killing people they should be moving out to better places . It is hard to believe that Israel a small country is causing all this fretting and hand twisting . Sure I feel empathy for the dead and wounded after all I am human , but there comes a time for peace and there is a time for war . I guess the Jews just got tired of the rockets falling around them and decided that peace was not working , if you agree with me you will agree that it is time for war . the people should evacuate so nothing is left but Hamas and his followers that is the way to stop civilians from getting killed or injured. If the ones that stay start complaining they are getting killed then they are out of their tree.

I know I would not . now if they are in a safe area away from the Hamas people then yes I would try to get as much to them as I could, no one should starve or go with out life saving food, that are not involved in the conflict , it is equally hard for me to believe that the people are not with Hamas and what he does .

On June 8, 1977, Protocol 1 to the August 1949 Geneva Conventions was passed – “relating to the Protection of Victims of International Armed Conflicts.” It declared the legitimacy of armed struggle (or resistance) to achieve self-determination as long as no proscribed methods are used. Further, “all states (are urged) to provide material and moral assistance to the national liberation movements in colonial territories (including occupied people seeking freedom).”

Rarely do Palestinians get any, and, since 1967, have been some of the most isolated people in the world. For Gazans, no outside aid gets in, except for what Israel occasionally lets UN and humanitarian agencies supply and the little coming through tunnels on Egypt’s border. It’s never enough and falls woefully short of minimum amounts needed to survive. The result is a growing humanitarian crisis, an entire people on the verge of breakdown, compounded by mass slaughter, destruction, and it’s “only beginning” according to the IDF spokesman.

The world community is silent and lets Israel do as it pleases – despite repeated international law violations, willful acts of aggression, grievous harm to four million people under occupation, including 1.5 million under a medieval Gaza siege, now under attack.

Reports were that EU nations and Russia called for (but didn’t demand) an end to hostilities. According to Reuters, Washington urged Israel to avoid civilian casualties but stopped short of calling for an end to the attacks. White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe blamed Palestinians in saying “Hamas’ continued rocket attacks into Israel must cease if the violence is to stop.” Unsaid was that they respond to IDF violence or that until December 27 no Israeli was killed or injured.”

I wonder when Gaza can have a real future, a land that has no real economy to speak of, a land that desperately depends on Israel for jobs and economic opportunities, and yet a land that under the Hamas government pretends that it has the right to launch homemade rockets against Israeli civilians with impunity. Finally, a land thst has been once again taught a lesson that its stupidity only invites Israeli retaliation that no one can stop, including the United States. Alas, if this isn’t stupidity, what is?

Barak was a great Israeli General under Deborah:

“Barak, when the word of the Lord came to him, showed some diffidence, yet acted in obedience to it, under the sole direction and counsel of a woman; he engaged Sisera’s vast army with a small number, and gave the glory of the victory to the Lord, (Judges 4:1-5:31) .

Israel has had enough of the Jimmy Carter of Israel, their Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, another Crown Prince of Appeasement. Let Barak go that he might destroy Hamas in Gaza and give notice to the so-called Palestinians Israel is tired of their lies!

It’s about time Israel defended her citizens against the terror rocket attacks. Condemn Israel? Not hardly. They should be given an award for showing restraint. The palis need to blame the Arab world who sacrificed them on the alter of perpetual victimhood

I think the only think the terrorist understand is to be slapped. Now Israel needs to wipe the Hamas terrorists off of the map.

The Israeli policy of evicting non-Jews has continued for six decades. On June 19, 2008, the Laity Committee in the Holy Land reported in Window Into Palestine that the Israeli Ministry of Interior is taking away the residency rights of Jerusalem Christians who have been reclassified as “visitors in their own city.”

On December 10, 2007, MK Ephraim Sneh boasted in the Jerusalem Post that Israel had achieved “a true Zionist victory” over the UN partition plan “which sought to establish two nations in the land of Israel.” The partition plan had assigned Israel 56 percent of Palestine, leaving the inhabitants with only 44 percent. But Israel had altered this over time. Sneh proudly declared: “When we complete the permanent agreement, we will hold 78 percent of the land while the Palestinians will control 22 percent.”

Sneh could have added that the 22 percent is essentially a collection of unconnected ghettos cut off from one another and from roads, water, medical care, and jobs.

Abuse of Palestinians’ human rights is official Israeli policy

On May 17, 1990, the Washington Post reported that Save the Children “documented indiscriminate beating, tear-gassing and shooting of children at home or just outside the house playing in the street, who were sitting in the classroom or going to the store for groceries.”

On January 19, 1988, Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin, later Prime Minister, announced the policy of “punitive beating” of Palestinians. The Israelis described the purpose of punitive beating: “Our task is to recreate a barrier and once again put the fear of death into the Arabs of the area.”

the Washington Post, writes: “Save the Children concluded that one-third of beaten children were under ten years old, and one-fifth under the age of five. Nearly a third of the children beaten suffered broken bones.”

On February 8, 1988, Newsweek magazine quoted an Israeli soldier: “We got orders to knock on every door, enter and take out all the males. The younger ones we lined up with their faces against the wall, and soldiers beat them with billy clubs. This was no private initiative, these were orders from our company commander…. After one soldier finished beating a detainee, another soldier called him ‘you Nazi,’ and the first man shot back: ‘You bleeding heart.’ When one soldier tried to stop another from beating an Arab for no reason, a fist fight broke out.”

Amnesty International concluded that “there is no country in the world in which the use of official and sustained torture is as well established and documented as in the case of Israel.”

    Hawk said:

How many of the 145 dead and 310 wounded were Hamas? I am guessing less than 10. The rest were innocent people including children.

    Are you kidding me?

Do you think those Hamas rockets are targeting the Israeli military? They’re not, dipstick, they’re targeting Israeli civilians.

So….give me an answer, genius…just how IS Israel supposed to respond to dozens of rocket attacks a day?

    What would you do?

    Come on. Answer.

    Greetings:

It’s good to see Defense Minister Barak back in the saddle. He was a warrior before he became a politician and, sometimes, war is the best politics of all.

Heed my warning and ask God to forgive you for what you’ve written. You talk of these people like they are pests that need extermination. They are human beings fighting for their freedom with whatever they have in their arsenal.

The Israelis blockaded Gaza for months while people starved and forced Hamas hand in fighting.

Shame on you all and on Christmas.

May God Almighty have mercy on the people of Gaza and protect them from the war mongers.

Listed are some major facts ( Land Confiscation and Forced Expulsion ) relating to the Illegal and Immoral Apartheid Wall and it’s effects on the Palestinian people. For more information please visit StopTheWall.org ( Facts | Maps )

    1) The Wall is not being built on or even near the 1967 Green Line, but rather cuts deep into the West Bank, expanding Israel’s theft of Palestinian land and resources.

    2) When completed, the Wall will de-facto annex some 47% of the West Bank, isolating communities into Bantustans, ghettos and “military zones”.

    3) The Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including almost 1.5 million refugees, will be living on only 12% of mandate Palestine.

    4) Some 12% of Palestinians in the West Bank will be “outside” the Wall in the de facto annexed areas by Israel and in unbearable living conditions — the loss of land, markets, movement and livelihoods — and faced with expulsion. This includes over 200,000 Palestinians of East Jerusalem, who will be totally isolated from the rest of the West Bank.

    5) 98% of the settler population will be included in the de-facto annexed areas.

    6) The Wall is not a new “idea” — since 1994 the Gaza Strip has been surrounded by a barrier which cuts off Palestinians there from the rest of the world; in the past year Israel has been expanding this barrier as well as building a new “Iron Wall”.

    7) The lands between the Apartheid Wall and the Green Line have been declared by the Occupation as a “seam zone” whereby all residents and land owners must obtain a permit to remain in their homes and on their lands.
    8) The Occupation has created agricultural “gates” in the Wall; these do not provide any guarantee that farmers will have access to their lands but instead strengthen Israel’s strangling system of permits and checkpoints where Palestinians are beaten, detained, shot at and humiliated.

    9) 34 fortified checkpoints — 3 main terminals, 9 commercial terminals, and 22 terminals for cars and workers — are to control all Palestinian movement.

    10) 48 tunnels will connect 22 small ghettos inside 3 main ghettos.

    11) 538 checkpoints or other military obstructions in 3 ghettos, trenches, roadblocks, metal gates under Occupation control.

    12) 1,270km of settler roads connect settlements and settlement blocks and complement the Wall system.

    13) On July 9, 2004, the International Court of Justice ruled that the Apartheid Wall, Israeli settlement policies and occupation violate international law and must be ended. It reminded the international community that it was obliged to enforce international law and in no way support the existing situation.

welder4, You say that your christen beliefs tell you to support Israel no matter what.
Some info for you and anyone who wants to know:

Article I. – CONCERNING THE NAMES OF JESUS CHRIST in the holy Jewish book THE TALMUD, known also as the old testament

    1. The real name of Christ in Hebrew is Jeschua Hanotsri – Jesus the Nazarene. He is called Notsri from the city of Nazareth in which he was brought up. Thus in the Talmud Christians also are called Notsrim – Nazarenes.

Since the word Jeschua means “Savior,” the name Jesus rarely occurs in the Jewish books. It is almost always abbreviated to Jeschu, which is maliciously taken as if it were composed of the initial letters of the three words Immach SCHemo Vezikro – “May his name and memory be blotted out.”

    2. In the Talmud Christ is called Otho Isch – “That man,” i.e. the one who is known to all. In the tract Abhodah Zarah, 6a, we read: “He is called a Christian who follows the false teachings of that man, who taught them to celebrate the feast on the first day of the Sabbath, that is, to worship on the first day after the Sabbath”

    3. Elsewhere he is simply called Peloni – “A Certain One.” In Chagigah, 4b, we read: “Mary…the mother of a certain one, of whom it is related in Schabbath…” That this Mary is none other than the mother of Jesus.

    4. Out of contempt, Jesus is also called Naggar bar naggar – “the carpenter son of a carpenter”, also Ben charsch etaim -
“the son of a wood worker.”

    5. He is also called Talui – “The one who was hanged.” Rabbi Samuel, the son of Mair, in the Hilch. Akum of Maimonides,
refers to the fact that it was forbidden to take part in the Christian feats of Christmas and Easter because they were
celebrated on account of him who was hanged. And Rabbi Aben Ezra, in a commentary on Genes. also calls him Talui, whose image the Emperor Constantine reproduced on his banner. “…in the days of Constantine, who made a change of religion and placed the figure of the one who was hanged on his banner.”

Now Jesus in the Muslim holy book the Quran:

“Thereupon she pointed to him. They said, ‘How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?’ Jesus said, ‘I am a servant of ALLAH. HE has given me the Book, and has made me a Prophet; ‘And HE has made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and has enjoined upon me Prayer and almsgiving so long as I live; ‘And HE has made me dutiful towards my mother, and has not made me arrogant and graceless; ‘And peace was on me the day I was born, and peace will be on me the day I shall die, and the day I shall be raised up to life again.’ That was Jesus, son of Mary. This is a statement of the truth concerning which they entertain doubt.” — Qur’an, Surah 19:30-35

According to the Qur’an, Jesus, on whom be peace, performed the following miracles by Allah’s leave:

    1. Spoke while he was only an infant.
    2. Healed those born blind.
    3. Healed the lepers.
    4. Revived the dead.
    5. Breathed life into a bird made of clay.

    Miraculous birth of Jesus

Muslims believe that Jesus was the son of Mary, and was conceived without the intervention of a human father. The Qur’an describes that an angel appeared to Mary, to announce to her the “gift of a holy son” (19:19).

She was astonished at the news, and asked: “How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?” (19:20).

When the angel explained to her that she had been chosen for the service of God, and that God had ordained the matter, she devoutly submitted herself to His will.

The Qur’an states that Jesus is the Messiah,[Qur'an 3:45]

and Muslims believe that Jesus is alive in Heaven and will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist.

Article II. – THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST in the holy Jewish book THE TALMUD, known also as the old testament

    The Talmud teaches that Jesus Christ was illegitimate and was conceived during menstruation; that he had the soul of Esau;
that he was a fool, a conjurer, a seducer; that he was crucified, buried in hell and set up as an idol ever since by his followers.

    1. ILLEGITIMATE AND CONCEIVED DURING MENSTRUATION

The following is narrated in the Tract Kallah, 1b:

“Once when the Elders were seated at the Gate, two young men passed by, one of whom had his covered, the other with his head bare.Rabbi Eliezer remarked that the one in his bare head was illegitimate, a mamzer. Rabbi Jehoschua said that he was conceived during menstruation, ben niddah. Rabbi Akibah, however, said that he was both.

Whereupon the others asked Rabbi Akibah why he dared to contradict his colleagues.

He answered that he could prove what he said. He went therefore to the boy’s mother whom he saw sitting in the market place selling vegetables and said to her: “My daughter, if you will answer truthfully what I am going to ask you, I promise that you will be saved in the next life.”

She demanded that he would swear to keep his promise, and Rabbi Akibah did so -but with his lips only, for in his heart he invalidated his oath. Then he said: “Tell me, what kind of son is this of yours”? To which she replied: “The day I was married I was having menstruation, and because of this my husband left me. But an evil spirit came and slept with me and from this intercourse my son was born to me.”

Thus it was proved that this young man was not only illegitimate but also conceived during the menstruation of his mother.

And when his questioners heard this they declared: “Great indeed was Rabbi Akibah when he corrected his Elders”!

And they exclaimed: “Bleddes be the Lord God of Israel who revealed his secret to Rabbi Akibah the son of Joseph”!

That the Jews understand this story to refer to Jesus and his mother, Mary, is clearly demonstrated in their book Toldath
Jeschu – “The Generations of Jesus” – where the birth of Jesus is narrated in almost the same words.

Another story of this kind is narrated in Sanhedrin, 67a.

Rev. Thomas L. Are is an American Presbyterian pastor who wrote a book titled Israeli Peace/Palestinian Justice, published in Canada in 1994. In his concluding chapter, “What Christians Can Do,” Rev. Are writes: “We cannot allow others to dictate our thinking on any subject, especially on anything as important as Christian faithfulness, which is tested by an attitude towards seeking justice for the oppressed. It’s a Christian’s duty to know.”

Duty, of course, has costs. Rev. Are writes: “Speak up for the Palestinians and you will make enemies. Yet, as Christians, we must be willing to raise issues that until now we have chosen to dodge.”

John F. Mahoney wrote: “Thomas Are reminds me of Dietrich Bonhoeffer: an active pastor who comes to the unsettling realization that he and his people have been fed a terrible lie that is killing and torturing thousands of innocent men, women and children. Not without ample research and prayer does such a pastor, in turn, risk unsettling his congregation. The Reverend Are has done his homework and, I suspect, has prayed often and long during the writing of this courageous book.”

Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran theologian and pastor who was executed for his active participation in the German Resistance against Nazism.

Professor Benjamin M. Weir, San Francisco Theological Seminary, wrote: “This book will make the reader squirm. It asks you to lend your voice in behalf of the voiceless.”

You can also read the book of Israel’s finest historian Ilan Pappe, The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine (2006).

Yeah. Right. Any other democractic allies you want to “cut loose”?

  • Neiman

He doesn’t need to sell them out, but he should cut them loose. Israel is bad business for the US.

Why not? The world has sold them out and we are the only real friend of Israel left. If we are not willing to suffer the business losses associated with keeping our word and defending our only ally in the Middle East, then we need to fall from power as we have no honor, no decency and our word has no value.

these people were put behind a twenty foot cement wall and all entrances were closed

Excuse me, but did that wall go all the way around, or just between them and Israel?
And if the entrances between them and Israel were closed, did a little thing like terrorist activity have anything to do with closing them?

Your reporting of the situation seems to be very selective in what you report and how you report it.

And now, of course, because I questioned you, I must be a Zionist, right? *sigh*

Kelsey Glaser: I must say this although it may be misconstrued , we would go to them and ask if any of the Mexican soldiers were injured and invite them to the nearest hospital and give them free medical and dental care and baby sit their kids while they recouped . they would automatically be eligible for Social security also .
