This looks to be enough to win the election barring some unforeseen situation. McCain has failed to put the nail in Obama’s political coffin in spite of having numerous opportunities to do so. McCain could have said something to the effect of: Accepting for the moment that you didn’t launch your campaign from Ayer’s living room, just how uncomfortable do you have to be with America to be comfortable even being in Ayer’s living room?

Folks, we the citizens are going to have to be extremely vigilant over the next four years. We are all that stand between liberty and liberalism.

Besides, I have arranged my personal and business affairs to shelter my assets from taxes as much as possible. So should Obama win next month, I will look forward to treating him and congressional Democrats with all the respect and courtesy that those on the Left have shown to President Bush and the Republicans these past 8 years. With a Democrat in the White House, Democrats in control of both houses of Congress, and economics illiterate “progressives” braying at the gates, there will be no hiding from the consequences of the policies they enact and no one else to take the blame. Taxes will go up and economic growth will all but disappear. Social security and Medicare will be four years closer to insolvency with no viable plan to fix either in sight. Russian influence will be expanded, as Europe, without firm and determined leadership from Washington, will cower. And in the Middle East, Iran will acquire nuclear weapons… and most likely use them. Certainly nobody believes Obama will actually do anything to stop them.

And with every fumbling misstep and each bumbling misstatement from our self-styled “leaders” I’ll be there to note their ineptitude and dishonesty. Same as now.

Bringing up ACORN during the debate is a valid tactic, in terms of both voter fraud and judgement issues.

But if one considers that ACORN has been able to register over a million potential voters, wouldn’t McCain be stigmatizing and hence possibly losing the votes of whatever percentage of ACORN-registered voters who were actually registered legally and do not like being called names? Surely, they do not represent 100% of those registered by ACORN, but several hundred thousand nonetheless. And, how many of those stigmatized ACORN registered voters had planned to vote Republican? ACORN registration forms do not have a “party preference” box.

Another benefit of tactic is that there are voters legally registered by ACORN who might be led to think “Holy cow, ACORN is illegal; I ain’t going to no election booth just to find I can’t vote nohow.”

Yes. Good tactic, McCain.

But I will not indulge in the violent, vitrolic hatred spewed relentlessly over the last eight years by some on the left by the likes of HuffPo, DailyKos and MoveOn.
