Feds Investigating Countrywide Loans To Senators Kent Conrad, Chris Dodd

Apparently the federal authorities didn’t get the memo from the Fargo Forum about Senator Conrad’s inherent innocence.


A Countrywide insider says that the VIP’s who got special loans “absolutely” knew they were getting special treatment from Countrywide. This stands in stark contrast to Senator Conrad’s claims about not knowing that he’d gotten special treatment (something he said before donating the money he saved on the mortgage to charity).
So who do we believe? The Countrywide insider who is saying that it was his job to “drive home” to VIP’s like Conrad that they were getting special favors from Countrywide? Or VIP’s like Conrad who got caught red handed with their hands in the cookie jar?

    Has it ever occurred to you that Kent Conrad is actually too dumb to know the difference between the deal he got and the mortgage terms Countrywide was offering to everyone else who wasn't on an oversight committee?

    I've heard Conrad speak and read some of his stuff, and to be honest, I've got tree stumps in the back yard that are smarter.

    Besides, the guy just said his JOB was to impress on these guys how SPECIAL they are and what a great deal they were getting from Angelo.

    Well fortunately for good ol' Kent, he doesn't have to worry about re-election for another 4 years.

    Sadly, by then most people won't even remember this.

    I lived in the 8-plex that Conrad got his Countrywide mortage for. Shame that Countrywide only gives loans for 4-plex or smaller. Unless, apparently, you're Senator Conrad.

    I wonder which one of Subprime Senator's 3 or 4 stories he's going to tell the FBI.

    I also wonder if Janelle Cole from the Forum is going be in charge of his legal defense since she did a fine job in the media, once Kent quit talking.

    Is North Dakota's citizenship law particularly lax compared to other states?

    Couldn't we tweak it and require that these guys have ties to North Dakota that are a bit more extensive than a couple of empty apartments?

    Status one they always give the money back or to charity if they get caught ,mmmm? that's a pretty poor excuse to say you did not know on one of the biggest purchases of ones life . ?

    Obama did the same thing but Rezco protected him and said nothing about Obama and his dealings with him , he is waiting to be excused from prison duty when Obama gets in the office of president Obama will pardon him out right . Rezco may then do one of two things , leave the country or be a cabinet member for Obama and then the United Sates will become a slum lords dream.
