Fargo Forum: Republicans Want To Hurt North Dakota Hospitals

Fargo Forum's Ivory Tower
Written By:

Yesterday I wrote about the political cowardice on display from Senator John Hoeven and Rep. Rick Berg in joining with liberal Senator Kent Conrad in opposing cuts to Obamacare’s Frontier Amendment.

Today the Fargo Forum provides us with this oh-so-objective headline about the same story (written by the same reporter who tried to sell that ridiculous article suggesting that Rep. Berg is fiscally irresponsible).

Big government is good for you. That’s the Forum’s narrative, and they’ll only report the facts that support it.

This is the problem with our national budget. Nobody wants to pay more in taxes, but nobody wants government cut either. The media fans the flames of hysteria about budget cuts, to the point where the only option we’re left with is either more deficit spending or tax hikes.

What’s funny his how often the media shifts to make stories fit the narrative. Back when the goal was forcing Americans into Obamacare, the insurance companies and the hospitals were the enemy. They were profiteers living on the backs of hard-working Americans.

Now that the story is cuts to government spending, suddenly the hospitals are the victims of cruel, cold-hearted Republicans.

And so it goes.
