Far Left Goofball Set To Debate Tonight:

For those of you who are interested, Ryan Gustafson from The Flickertail Journal, who is also running for District 35’s seat in the North Dakota House, will be debating his opponent Karen Karls (wife of NDGOP director Ken Karls) tonight at 7:00pm.  You’ll remember Gustafson from such events as the time he deleted all of his goofy, far-left blog posts right before he announced his candidacy and the time his co-blogger called North Dakota citizens “racist” and “bigoted.” And, of course, the “Say Anything Morality Watch” series of posts.

By the grace of all that is good in the world, there is a live video feed so we can all watch this clown flounder in the face of an onslaught from a real candidate.  To watch, click here and then click the “On The Air” link to the left.  The debate starts at 7:00pm central time.

If you want to call in a question, the number is 701-222-6778.

I’ll give a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate to anyone who can get the moderator to ask Gustafson why he thinks pro-life people are equivalent to the Taliban.

I’m not kidding.

Update: I watched, and was horrified.

It was spend spend spend spend spend spend spend spend the entire time.  Not one candidate, not even the Republican candidates, made a peep about maybe giving some of North Dakota’s huge surplus back to the taxpayers.

I hope they all lose.

By the way, two readers (who prefer not to be named) called in with the Taliban question.  One of them said he got hung up on.

Classic.

Update by the Whistler:

I do have to correct one small thing.  Bob Martinson made a small point about some kind of income tax relief.  Aside from that I was very disappointed in the Republicans.  Like Rob said it was spend spend spend and spend.  I was appalled by the Democrats but I expected that.

I also was very disappointed in the questions.  Every question was from the liberal point of view.  The people running the debate couldn’t care less about someone’s problems of paying taxes and raising a family.

It was a shameful “debate” on all sides.

If Ryan G. volunteers that does he win?

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

I’d deliver it to him personally.

At least he’d get something out of his campaign.

He’s on.

I am literally giddy at seeing this goof get slapped around.

Oh man, Gustafson just said that North Dakota is a nice place to live.

His co-blogger thinks North Dakotans are racist, bigoted and backward.

It would be ironic, if it wasn’t so pathetic, that there are calls for Blue Cross to refund their surplus, but not the same concern for returning the over taxation of ND income tax payers!

I’ve talked to seasoned observers in both parties.  All agree there are 3 credible candidates running for the Legislature in Dist 35--north Bismarck

And which three would be credible?

Liberals can’t take the competition—which explains why the hate capitalism.

Kevin, excellent point.
