Excuses, Excuses: Liberals Blame Obama’s Lackluster Campaign Performance On Racism

Nothing says confidence like making excuses for your candidate’s loss before he even loses.

A prominent union leader on Tuesday blamed racism for Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) failure to build a big lead over GOP rival Sen. John McCain.

Gerald McEntee, president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), said many workers are considering voting for McCain (R-Ariz.) because of his military service and status as a hero of the Vietnam War.

McEntee said several union members had approached him, saying they could not vote for Obama because of his race. He also said some local union presidents have failed to support Obama out of fear.

“There are some local union presidents that are afraid — yes, that’s the word, afraid — to hand out literature for Barack Obama,” said McEntee.

McEntee said union members need to consider Obama’s voting record on labor issues, not his race.

“You can’t vote for Barack Obama because he’s black? That’s bulls—t. Absolute bulls—t,” said McEntee to a standing ovation from the crowd.

I agree that voting against Obama because he’s black is pretty stupid, especially in light of all the fantastic reasons to vote against him that have to do with this stupid policies.  But if voting against him because he’s black is bad, what does that say about people who are voting for him because he’s black?

Equally stupid, no?

But I’m wondering who it is, exactly, that’s telling people not to vote against Obama because he’s black?  I haven’t heard anything even resembling that from McCain or the GOP.  Nor any other legitimate, mainstream conservative organization.  It seems to me that these claims about racism have a lot to do with creating sympathy for Obama as some sort of victim (something he could sorely use given how his poll numbers are slipping) and generating an excuse should Obama lose that has nothing to do with Americans just rejecting his proposed policies.

I was wondering how long that would take to surface.

That is a weak ploy.

Also, why is it alright that Obama will win the vast majority of the black vote, but not okay that McCain will win most of the white vote?

Joe Biden said Barry wasn’t “ready” for the job. I guess Joe is racist.

The problem is if they acknowledge that Barry is being judged by the “Content Of His Character” then they are out of a job, plain and simple.

You see as we all know nothin’ says empoloyement for a Dumocratic like the idea that rampant racism still exists in this country.

OBAMA PROSTITUTION A NEO-MARXIST DELUSION

Obama’s desperate enemies, the Neo-Con Republicans and Neo-Lib Democrats in positions of power in government, education, industry, teacher and labor unions, and news and entertainment media continuously strive to induce presidents, congressmen, and judges to serve as their political prostitutes. Their Crypto-Neo-Marxist divisive politics and notorious subversive contempt for nationalism, Christian culture, Constitutional Law, Kennedy Liberals and Reagan Conservatives make them an increasingly intolerable threat to the American People fighting in the escalating Cultural War.

Having had their notoriously vicious and crooked candidates, Leiberman Neo-Lib Clinton and Podhoretz Neo-Con McCain defeated; they have stopped their hate-baiting and slandering, and have cunningly started their tactical systematic ingratiation to Obama, with flattery and money.

Shall Obama prostitute himself; or shall Obama prosecute them? Shall he keep counsel with Liberal Kennedy and Conservative Reagan, or shall he keep counsel with Neo-Lib Clinton and Neo-Con Bush?  Shall he be their master, like Kennedy and Reagan; or shall he be their slave, like Clinton and Bush?

Playing the race card is at the very core of the modern Democrats and the way they address any number of issues. They do it all day, every day — playing off blacks against whites, whites against blacks, blacks against Asians, Latinos against whites and blacks and on and on in every conceivable combination.

THE HARD FACT of political life in America is that Democrats cannot help themselves when it comes to playing the race card. They have played it every day of their party’s existence. It could be 1808 or 1908 or 2008. It could be the deepest parts of Alabama or the middle of Harlem. The topic could be Mexicans getting contracts to rebuild New Orleans or a white membership in the Black Caucus. It can surface with Jesse Jackson as he waits for a television interview, Al Sharpton as he allegedly shakes down major corporations, or Barack Obama as he works the presidential campaign trail. In every and all instances the bottom line for Democrats is always the same: race, race and race again. How to make it pay off financially, how to gain from it politically, how to scare with it or how to ruin someone’s career with it.

I won’t vote for Obama because he is Obama. Race has nothing to do with it

Huh-huh! Magic the Gathering… I feel like such a nerd for knowing where that card came from.

Huh-huh! Magic the Gathering… is it sad that I know what card game they’re spoofing?

On the topic at hand though, there are those who aren’t going to vote for Obama because he’s black. It has nothing to do with ethnicity, socioeconomic status or political affiliation. Racists exist, and they’ll project their ideology on their day to day activities. If they had figures stating how many people weren’t voting due to race, that would be news, but this is just speculation, as far as I’m concerned.
