Even More On Google Invading People’s Privacy

Last week I posted on some controversy over Google’s new “street view” feature that allows users of their Google Maps product to see pictures from the ground on their maps in addition to the map itself and satellite imagery.  After the feature came out a woman claimed that Google was invading her privacy because one of their “street view” shots caught her cat looking out her window.

It is my opinion that anything which is visible from public areas isn’t private.  Meaning that if you can see it from a street or a sidewalk or a park or something it isn’t illegal for you to see it.

As another example of this, I’d like to point out that if you’re caught out in public with your thong hanging out, that isn’t private either.

Not that an exposed thing is something you don’t see during a routine trip to the shopping mall.

I don’t know what it is with fashion these days that people can’t keep their pants pulled up…

Did the woman who complained say one could see her cat or pussy in the window?

Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric.
