Eric Holder Is Just The Sort Of Two-Faced Liar A President Like Obama Needs

Byron York relates a story about Obama’s pick for Attorney General that pretty much sums up who the guy is in a nutshell.  It has to do with a bit of duplicity Holder engaged in with regard to the Elian Gonzalez scandal.

In the period before armed agents seized the child, the Justice Department had been leaking its intention to avoid any sort of armed intervention.  It would all be done quietly, they suggested.  When top Department officials were asked about it, they said nothing to change that impression.  About two weeks before the raid, Tim Russert asked Holder, “You wouldn’t send a SWAT team in the dark of night to kidnap the child, in effect?”  Holder answered, “No, we don’t expect anything like that to happen.”  Then the Department did precisely that. The day after the seizure, Holder appeared again with Russert, who asked, “Why such a dramatic change in position?” “I’m not sure I’d call it a dramatic change,” Holder answered.  “We waited ‘til five in the morning, just before dawn.”

Now that’s some hope ‘n change we can’ believe in.

What do you expect him to say, “Yeah, we are going to send a SWAT team in.”

It’s par for the course when dealing with their type.
THey’d rather climb a tree to tell a lie than stand on the ground & tell the truth.

And how many “Ruby Ridges” can we expect from this guy?

Well honesty is the best policy, but if he didn’t want to tip the state’s hand he could have said “No comment.”

And afterward, instead of being a worm and spinning with the “well it was dawn” nonsense, he could have said “I couldn’t tell you the truth before because we didn’t want to tip our hand.”

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

I was so upset during that Elian Gonzalez deal. That poor kid was just ripped out of there. Remember that pic? I wanted to kick someone’s ass when I saw that.

I’m surprised that that photo (and the photographer) ever survived the raid.

Kudos to the photographer.

It’s so rare when tyranny is caught red-handed.

Yup, that one. I just saw something funny on Democratic Underground in re of holder’s appointment. One of the libs of there had this eloquent post: “Like a rifle blast to the little bird of HOPE.” Hmmm. Seems like some disillusionment to me.

Yet when it comes to illegal immigration I doubt I’d find anyone here in support of it…it seems to me that you’re making a larger deal of this case and the child simply because you need to dislike Obama’s choices not because you actually do.

He didn’t lie, he did what lawyers do he phrased his words carefully. They didn’t send a SWAT team in the dead of night, they waited till morning.

Being against illegal immigration should be a priority for every American. I said the way they handled this was absolutely disgusting. Why? Do you think we should just have people streaming in, committing crimes, taking our tax money for their support?

It’s probably just the shape of things to come.

Typical liberal apologists. Everything can be spun away. Do not look behind the curtain.

As for Ruby/Waco…I hope we have no more. Odds are that the change will not support it. You do know that the wackjob keresh(SP) from Waco jogged every morning around 7am. They could have just picked him up.

I can just wait until the moonbats turn a blind eye to what Obama’s regime tries to pull off. It will make the legal stuff Bush had done seem like a tea party.

Keep up the good fight.

I was wel aware of that.
Also, he was in town under the watchful eye buyig ice creme.
THe problem was that if he was taken off the compound, it would take longer for shemale..I mean reno… to get access to those inside.
Don’t forget that I stand watch on the Eastern most border of this Great State of Texas
