Edwards Story Isn’t Going To Fade Away

Despite the best attempts of the liberal media to make the scandal plaguing Edwards, whose adulation from the left almost rivals Obama’s, go away.

…if it’s all a simple misunderstanding, if John Edwards was dropping by a hotel suite at 2 a.m. to say hello to a former campaign worker, then maybe someone should suggest to the politician that he come out and say that. Maybe it was his $500-a-cut hairdresser, for goodness sakes! In which case, money well spent. In any case, it doesn’t seem like this is the kind of story that is going to fade into the mists of time. Especially in the slow-news days of August.

Discussion question: Is the media sitting on this story because there’s still a possibility that Obama might pick Edwards to be his VP?

There is no way that they will be able to suppress the story until after November 4th, especially if Edwards is on the ticket.

You mean suppress the fact that Obamalamadingdong was dumb enough to consider Edwards as his VP choice?

Well, no, not if Obama picks someone else. The fact that Edwards was on the short list will go down the editorial memory hole.

If that is the case, then let them sit on the story until Obama does (hopefully) pick Edwards. There is no way that they will be able to suppress the story until after November 4th, especially if Edwards is on the ticket.

It could easily all fade away. Prove the child ain’t his and he has not had a several years long affair with this particular woman. Faded memory. Why has he not done so.

Why has he not done so.

Because maybe he is guilty as charged.
