Ed Schultz: If You’re Talking About Food Stamps You’re Talking About Black People

Ed Schultz thinks Newt Gingrich is racist for calling President Obama the “food stamps President.” Of course, Obama has earned the title given the record-breaking explosion of food stamps enrollees but according to Schultz, “To say something about food stamps is not about white folks, it’s about black folks.”

Stop and think about that for a moment. According to Schultz, you cannot talk about food stamps without talking about black folks. Isn’t that sort of, you know, stereotyping black people?

This is the liberal left’s soft bigotry of low expectations. Minorities are victims. Minorities cannot be anything but victims. Because that’s what fits into the left’s political stratagems.

The notion of independent, self sufficient minorities who have no need of government entitlements is anathema to them.

“Ed Schultz: If You’re Talking About Food Stamps You’re Talking About Black People”  And with that Ed yet again proves he is a racist a$$hole.

  • SigFan

Interesting given that the black population of the US is only  12.6% of the total or about 39 million people and the total number of people on foodstamps was given the other day as 47 million.  So according to Schultz, every black person in the US is on foodstamps.  I’ll bet there are more than a few upper middle class black families I know that would be very surprised to hear this.  Schultz is just a putz, picking up on the latest attempt by the left to broadbrush everyone on  the right as racists – and it’s not going to work anymore.

With food prices rising soon food stamps won’t buy anything. Sorry folks if you are on food stamps you better plant a garden and start hunting.

If you are talking about food stamps you are talking about the Democrat party and their plans to get people on welfare and never get them off. It’s the new slogan of BHO. Shared sacrifice.

Ed Schultz’ remark is exactly the same sort of witless racial political attack we are treated to every day here at SAB compliments of Hannitized and other liberal loons who stupidly regard any criticism of Obama as an expression of racism.  Their reaction to any sort of criticism of “The One” is reflexive, and what they fail to comprehend is that their incessant accusations of racism only serve to diminish the charge to near irrelevance.

Now he has to insinuate that black people, and only black people, are on food stamps. If, in Ed’s mind, all black people are on food stamps then he must believe that black people are all living in poverty, uneducated and not capable of accomplishing anything that would pull them out of that, or….gasp….be a successful doctor, lawyer, judge, professor, mayor, governor, police chief, fireman, Secretary of State. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or Supreme Court justice.

    So why is that Ed?

Are you saying that all black people receive food stamps or that all food stamp recipients are black?

Good thing they had both sides on discussing the issue and stroking each other.

Most people know Schultz is an egomaniac, stupid and insane who only thinks of “ED” and no one else.  He thinks he will get some attention from this.  Well, I think saying Obama is the food stamp president was meant that he puts more people on food stamps because of his policies.  I agree with this.

It’s interesting that none of our resident racial road-guards have bothered to offer a comment on Ed Schultz’ insult of Black Americans.

    • 2hotel9

No surprise, they are in complete agreement with Ed’s racist sh*t.

For the record: I don’t see anything racist or even racially oriented in Newtie’s comment, implied or otherwise.  In fact, there is a point to be made about the number of those on food stamps under this presidency -and I just made it.  In other words, there is no cause and effect between Obama’s policies and the number of those on food stamps.

Now, this is not the get out of jail free card most conservatives hope that it is.  Just because Ed improperly added a racial ingredient doesn’t mean SAB conservatives who have double standards for whites and blacks are off the hook.  Not by a mile.

I was prepared to “Like” this comment… at least the first two sentences.  But the third sentence is utter nonsense since even before his inauguration Obama promised 4% GDP growth, unemployment of no more than 7% if his so-called “stimulus” package was passed, and at least 900,000 new private sector jobs for each 1% of GDP growth.  The blame for Obama’s obvious economic failures does not rest with his predecessor, kid.

Its worth noting, for the record, that Ed Schultz, who is all but irrelevant himself, was not the first offer this vile innuendo.  David Gregory of Meet The Press was first this past Sunday.  Thus Ed is not only a blustering buffoon (even when he’s sober) he also suffers from an acute paucity of originality.  Newt, to his credit, shredded Gregory, who of course backed away from the accusation.  Newt would probably have lit into Ed at some point too, but since no one much cares what Ed says, except Ed …

BTW, your second paragraph is presumptuous, gratuitous, petulantly irrelevant

Why does anyone care if his comment was racially motivated or not?  The charge of “racism” has been so over used it has lost most of its impact.  Anyway, you see more racist BS just riding the bus in Baltimore or Philly than any white guy has dared to say publicly since the 1970s.

It’s “dog whistle” racism. Only liberals can hear it.

Thats a good one, I’ll have to “plagiarize” it!!!

Be my guest! I first coined it some months back. I noticed over at Weasel Zippers that Chrissy Matthews is saying something similar now. (About conservatives. Like Hanni, they can’t find any racism, so they imagine they hear it and condemn us for what they didn’t hear. )
