Ed Schultz: If You’re Talking About Food Stamps You’re Talking About Black People

Written By:

Ed Schultz thinks Newt Gingrich is racist for calling President Obama the “food stamps President.” Of course, Obama has earned the title given the record-breaking explosion of food stamps enrollees but according to Schultz, “To say something about food stamps is not about white folks, it’s about black folks.”

Stop and think about that for a moment. According to Schultz, you cannot talk about food stamps without talking about black folks. Isn’t that sort of, you know, stereotyping black people?

This is the liberal left’s soft bigotry of low expectations. Minorities are victims. Minorities cannot be anything but victims. Because that’s what fits into the left’s political stratagems.

The notion of independent, self sufficient minorities who have no need of government entitlements is anathema to them.
