Earl Pomeroy Is A Bit Of A Hypocrite For Complaining About Out Of State Politicking
Recently a group called The 60 Plus Association has been running ads in North Dakota rightfully calling out Pomeroy for his support of government health care and betrayal of North Dakota voters.
Here’s the ad:
Pomeroy has responded to his ad by castigating The 60 Plus Association as an “out of state special interest group.” Which is pretty funny for two reason.
First, the liberal counterpart to the 60 Plus Association is the AARP. Pomeroy has busied himself hiding behind the AARP (basically an insurance company itself these days that stands to profit mightily from government health care), but it’s worth noting that the group isn’t exactly a North Dakota-based special interest group. If The 60 Plus Association is an “out of state special interest group” isn’t the AARP as well?
Further, is Pomeroy is so concerned with out of state political influence I’m sure he’ll be giving back the 90% of his campaign war chest that was contributed by non-North Dakotans, right?
Maybe some enterprising North Dakota journalist should ask Rep. Pomeroy about this hypocrisy. I would, but I’m not allowed to ask him questions any more. Tags: Asshats, Domestic Issues, North Dakota News, Politics
