Dumbest Debate Question Ever: Is Rev. Wright A Legitimate Campaign Issue?

Might have been better if they’d asked Obama (though his answer would have been just as obvious), but asking Hillary?  I don’t even like Obama and I can’t believe they tossed up this softball for Hillary.

By the way, of course Wright is a legitimate issue.  He was a member of Obama’s campaign before his controversial and bigoted comments were made public.  Obama took his campaign theme, and the title of one of his books, from one of Wright’s sermons.  Wright married Obama to his wife and baptized Obama’s children.  Obama himself described Wright as a his spiritual leader and a “sounding board” for questions about life and policy.

If Wright isn’t a campaign issue, what is?

Certainly it is not a “campaign issue”, but it is something that the media has chosen to latch on to.  For the “new media” will find it much easier to attack a political opponent for who he stands next to, rather than what he stands for.

Colin Powell sees the good in Reverend Wright, after putting his terrible comments in perspective.

Colin Powell then applauds Senator Obama for his response to it and praises him for not abandoning Wright.  He admired him for giving his speech on race.

Colin Powell also believes Obamas lack of experience isn’t an issue for running for the office of President.  His leadership is something Powell notices and states might be sign of what he can accomplish.

Sorry, all you Obama hating Republicans, you.

I am looking forward to watching you turn on Colin Powell.

I have always admired Colin Powell for being a man of principles and integrity.  He is an intellectually honest man that reminds me of the type of republicans and Democrats I surround myself with.

He is certainly the type of man a lot of Republicans strive to be.  This is why Obama is so scary to people like Rob and cohorts, who lack the principles and character that Colin Powell represents.
