Draft Zell?

There’s a movement afoot, and he’d be a strong contender for my vote depending on who the GOP nominated (assuming that Miller could even get the Democrat nod, which is an impossibility at this point).  Really, I think the only Republican I’d vote for over Zell would be Fred Thompson.  And those two would likely be competing for the GOP nomination instead of running against one another in a national election.

But a Zell Miller candidacy is a long shot, at best.  Zell hasn’t expressed even a little bit of interest in running, and he’s 75 years old.  Four years older than John McCain, who is himself considered a little long-in-the-tooth to be running for President.

It’s not an impossibility, mind you, but at this point I’m relegating it more to “happy thought” than “potential reality.”
