Dorgan Is “Frustrated” With Delay In Obama’s Nomination Of North Dakota Appointments
According to the Fargo Forum, Senator Dorgan is “frustrated” at delays in Obama’s nomination of federal appointments for North Dakota. Namely, the appointment of a new US Attorney for North Dakota to replace the now-retired Drew Wrigley.
Dorgan claims North Dakota’s federal delegation have made their recommendations to the Obama administration and that the delay lays with them.
That runs contrary to what I’ve heard from sources in liberal circles in the state about a civil war among state Democrats between supporters of Democrat money man and Democrat National Committee member Tim Purdon and supporters of Jan Morley, who would be North Dakota’s first female and Native American appointment (my previous posts here and here).
But maybe Dorgan is right. Maybe the delay is Obama being unable to decide between the affirmative action choice (Morley) or the political hack choice (Purdon).
Either way, something is gumming up the works in this appointment.
