Doctor Behind “45,000 Deaths From Lack Of Ins” Statistic Is A Researcher For Gov Health Care Group

The hottest new talking point from the liberals about health care isn’t the 30,000,000 – 50,000,000 uninsured Americans canard (a statistic so full of holes as to be worthless) but now the 45,000 Americans dying yearly from a lack of health care coverage. A statistic based on research done by one Dr. Andrew Wilper.
Dr. Wilper’s study was just published in the American Journal of Public Health, and already it’s getting traction around the country. Right here in North Dakota state Senator Tim Mathern is getting ready to hand down this new talking point to his fellow Democrats at a policy meeting today.
But the question is, who is this Dr. Wilper and why should we take this study seriously? Outside of the fact that it’s terribly convenient for the liberal position on government health care?
Well, far be it from me to dismiss data based on nothing other than the source, but it’s worth noting that Dr. Wilper is a researcher for Physicians for a National Health Program. An advocacy group that exists for the express purpose of seeing a single-payer government health care program created.
Now, again, that doesn’t necessarily dismiss Dr. Wilper’s research (I’m skeptical) but you’d think the people reporting this statistic might want to report the doctor’s obvious bias.

Nothing like relying on the Physicians for a National Health Program for an unbiased report!

    Bias? Nothing here, move along.
