Disgusting: Planned Parenthood Now Selling Gift Certificates For Abortions

Wondering what to get your female loved one for Christmas?  How about a gift certificate for an abortion?

Because nothing says “I love you” or “I care” like “Here, kill your unborn child, on me!”

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Gift certificates have become a popular holiday gift option, but a controversial new one, already has people talking.

For the first time, Planned Parenthood in Indiana is offering gift certificates. The organization said a big increase in calls and visits from newly unemployed and uninsured Hoosiers prompted what it calls the unusual, yet practical gift option.

“People are making really tough decisions about putting gas in their car and food on their table, so we know that many women especially put healthcare at the bottom of their list to do,” said Chrystal Struben-Hall, Vice President of Planned Parenthood of Indiana.

Just in case anyone doesn’t believe it could be true, here’s the website where the gift certificates are on sale.

“Health care.” So that’s what we’re calling the murder of unborn children these days.

And yes, I’m aware that Planned Parenthood offers certain other services, but let’s not kid ourselves.  The group runs abortion mills.  Women don’t go there for checkups.  They go there to rid themselves of the responsibility of their children by having them killed and scraped out of their wombs.

Comments

I wonder if these gift certificates expire.  In North Dakota they have to honor them for at least five years I think.

[W]hat you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The gift that keeps on giving......... death.

What is our sick world coming to?

And the recipient is supposed to feel what....Loved? Special?  Thankful?

Interesting how the holiday is centered around an unmarried couple having a baby that is to change the world.

How many times has this story unfolded in our world, only to be thwarted by an abortion.

Could we have cured Cancer, Could we have figured out more secrets of the universe or the world around us?  Could we have experienced some wonderful work of music or art?

Have any Einstein’s, or Ben Franklin’s or Da Vinci’s or Mozart’s, or Bach’s been killed before they even have a chance to give their gifts to the world.

Now I am depressed.

This makes me want to barf.

I’m no defender of Planned Infanticide, but they do offer services besides prenatal murder.

That noted, I concede that it’s really bizaare to think of Mom giving her daughter a gift certificate to Planned Parenthood.  “Honey, I know you’re planning on getting real drunk at the party, and you’ll probably get knocked up, so here you go.” It’s just wrong on so many levels.

Bike Bubba on November 26, 2008 at 02:33 pm

Bubba,

I know they offer other things, but even though Playboy has some good articles, that ain’t the place to go to get informed.

All the services provided by ‘Planned Infanticide’ are also provided elsewhere.

Did you know that Planned Parenthood was originally started by an avowed racist, whose goal was the abortion of primarily Black babies, with the stated intent of lessening the population of African American people in the United States.

Interesting.

Bill O’Reilly did a hit piece on them recently where they had people call to see if they could expressly donate money for the abortion of a black baby, and the phone idiots there said yes....

I think they should only be allowed to offer these ‘death certificates’ on Halloween.

HG on November 26, 2008 at 05:58 pm

They need a slogan or jingle to market these death certificates.

Plan Parenthood death certificates.  When you couldn’t possibly care less about your loved one’s fetus.

or,

Celebrate Jesus’ birth with a Planned Parenthood death certificate.

Rebtex,

Abortion is a gruesome death.  I honestly don’t know how a doctor, a professional committed to saving life, could perform such an act.

Well yeah, they do, but those services make up a minuscule share of what they do.  Abortion is their business.

I mean, have you ever heard a woman say “Well it’s time for an exam, I’m off to the abortion mill!”

Women DO NOT go to Planned Murder for pap smears and breat exams. If they are broke, they go to a free clinic. It is not a nice place to go to, trust me. It is basically a series of rooms with women{girls} in the various process of getting abortions. They move you to one room to see a film on abortion, then another for sonograms, then another for individual “counseling” which amounts to do you want to do this? O.k., sign here. Then they give you some valium, take you into the procedure room, do the deed, then move you to a room w/ recliners, for recovery. Then you get some scripts, your ride takes you home. The end. If they aren’t busy, you are there about 2 hrs., start to finish. It actually is harder to get a damn root canal.

di butler on November 26, 2008 at 08:56 pm

You get a free copy of ”Eugenics, Racism, and Killing Babies: The Wonderful Life and Times of Leftist Icon and Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger.” with your abortion certificate.

If Planned Parenthood is so concerned about all these poor women and their “health” why are they not doing these abortions for free?

Damn, I’m a freakin’ liberal and even I think the use of the term “healthcare” is just dishonest.

“Keynes had located the fundamental defect of the free market system in its incapacity to distinguish between `speculation’ and `enterprise.’ Hence, it had a tendency to be dominated by speculators, interested not in the long-term yield on assets but only in the short-term appreciation in asset values. Their whims and caprices, causing sharp swings in asset prices, determined the magnitude of productive investment and, therefore, the level of aggregate demand, employment and output in the economy. The real lives of millions of people were determined by the whims of ‘a bunch of speculators’ under the free market system.”—Prabhat Patnaik

The certificates come in $25 increments. They can be used for everything from birth control to $58 examinations that include breast exams and pap tests. Men who receive healthcare at Planned Parenthood can use them too.

I bet Planned Parenthood would accept payment for an abortion in the form of these certificates, but it really looks like they’re more focused toward birth control and screenings.

Women don’t go there for checkups.

Yes we do.  More than that, though, sometimes PP is the only organization in a given area that provides birth control.

DRF on November 27, 2008 at 05:41 am

I live in a very rural region, have lived in other very rural regions, and I never saw a Doctors office or local medical center that did not provide Ob-Gyn and birth control services. Exactly where is it that women are denied these services?

See, this is exactly why libertarians take issue with the social conservatives.  You DO realize that Planned Parenthood does a lot besides abortions, right ?  But of course, you guys just equate the two things.

Most women do not go there for birth control and other services. I shouldn’t have said non, but in most states there are free or discount clinics, and yes, I do know this, and more women go there. I assure you the big abortion clinic in Atlanta do not have very women wanting to go there for any other reason as there are usually people picketing outside. They come rain or shine, and it usually doesn’t appeal to people just getting check ups. But, hey, if you want to go to the murder mill to get a pap or some pills, that’s your right.

Likwid,

That shouldn’t have been funny, but it was.

Look, personally i believe that abortion is something that should be allowed. But giving away gift certificates… that just seems wrong for some reason…

Don’t be stupid. These gift certificates are for any of Planned Parenthood’s services. My wife goes to Planned Parenthood once a month to get birth control pills she needs because of her polycystic ovarian disease. This has made both of our lives so much better. I do think it would be a little too akward for me to give a Planned Parenthood gift certificate to someone, but lets not pretend these are “Abortion Gift Certificates.”

So, your telling us you live in a place with no other medical service providers? The abortion clinic is the only place you can get ob-gyn care? Really?

There’s nowhere else that can help us since we have no medical insurance and can’t afford it right now. Also, this was the point I was trying to make, its not just an abortion clinic. Personally I do not think abortions are morally acceptable. However Planned Parenthood does provide other very useful services. Calling Planned Parenthood an abortion clinic is like calling a pediatrician a “flu doctor.” Sure, people take their kids to the pediatrician when they have the flu, but thats by no means the only thing going on there.

Feed lots & slaughter houses do more than just kill livestock. They have avet on duty at the larger operations.
However, their primary purpose is in the slaughter.
Same as PP

This topic is too funny. I’m assuming most of these people have never been to a Planned Parenthood clinic.
Women (and men) do go there for other services. They offer various forms of birthcontrol (condoms, pills, shots, etc. etc.), STD testing, paps, breast exams, and other health exams, as well as health information. If you don’t have health insurance and make under a certain amount, most of their services are free. They don’t have women getting abortions in every other room because if that particular clinic does do abortions, the doctor is only there on certain days (once a week, if even that), and those are the days people tend to protest. Granted, clinics vary from state to state and even city to city, but abortions are not the only thing PP does and not even the main purpose. I can understand people who are anti-choice, and I respect others’ opinions, but at least get your facts straight first.

Anyhow, thanks for the laugh!

I live in an extreme rural setting.
THe nearest town is 14 miles.
It has 2459 people.
THat town has 2 clinics that accept low/no income patients.
THe next town, about 28 miles & 7400 people, has more than 4 clinics for the low/no income group & 2 hospitals.
My point is that there are options everywhere.
THere’s no need to frequent PP.

First of all, these certificates come in amounts UP TO $100.  Honestly, who in their right mind thinks an abortion costs only $100?!  I called one today and found out that if you don’t have insurance, it costs over $500!  Second, I live in Southern California and you would think that there would be free clinics everywhere, but guess again.  I do NOT live in LA, nor Orange County so these resources are scarce if anywhere near at all.  My college advises going to Planned Parenthood to get birth control.  At a Gynecologist it costs $85 for the pap smear exam, and another $85 for the lab tests, then another $55 per month for the birth control (and that’s on the cheap end of the scale from my research).  Planned Parenthood on the other hand, offers me no cost exams and birth control, as well as free treatment if they ever did find anything cancerous, etc.  In today’s economy, I make enough money to survive, but do not make anywhere near enough to afford health care.  I do NOT just use birth control as a contraceptive.  I have been a dancer, and my periods are seriously random, and quite heavy, if at all monthly if I do not take birth control.  There ARE people who go to Planned Parenthood for other purposes, and there are NO other resources that I can find in my area.  Trust me, I have done my research for other free clinics.  Mind you, I do not want to criticize any of you for your Pro-Life standpoints, that’s your decision, but please keep in mind that those of us who walk into a Planned Parenthood for other reasons do not want to be chastised for it.

Planned Parenthood is an organization that promotes healthy life. Christmas is about giving. This organization is not promoting girft cards FOR abortion. The way the economy is toda, these gift cards are a great idea. So many people that are less fortunate than others and can not afford health care. Buying someone a gift card to go to the doctor to get an annual check up is a great idea. During the Holidays think of other people and not yourself. It would be very different if this company was advertising in a way such as, “Abortion Gift Certificates sold here”. I mean, come on people!!!!

And by targeting minorities. Look up Margaret Sanger, the woman who pioneered eugenics in America in order to control the population of “human weeds”.  You choose to be a “weed” your going to get eradicated. That is PPs real purpose. Handing out condoms and birth control pills is the smiley face facade.
