Dirty Tricks: New Jersey Democrats Paying For Robocalls For Independent Candidate In Governor Race
Republican and former US Attorney Chris Christie has Democrat John Corzine on the ropes in the New Jersey governor race. Obama has campaigned heavily for Corzine, even to the point of sending one of his own political operatives to take over his campaign. But none of it is working. Christie continues strong showings in the poll, and as of right now it looks like the race may well be his.
So what do New Jersey Democrats do?
They pay for robocalls for independent candidate Chris Daggett hoping to give him enough of a last-minute boost to undermine Christie and give Corzine the edge.
The address mentioned in the call is the same address for the New Jersey Democrat State Committee.
Remember, nothing says “hope and change” like dirty political tricks.
