Die, Hippies, Die

This is a commercial submitted to a contest being run by GMC in conjunction with NBC's The Apprentice.

I'm laughing so hard I'm crying.

One thing I’ve got to give the Goppers credit for is that the satire hasn’t been this good in a long time.

As opposed to the Dems satire, which has never been funny.

That is almost as good as the Canyonairo commercial from the Simpsons. Wifey loves it too!

GTA3 players will also recall the Maibatsu Monstrosity.

Man: "I’m a marketing manager who lives in the suburbs and commutes to work on the highway. I live alone, so of course I needed a car that can seat 12 and is equipped to drive across arctic tundra…it just makes me feel better!"
Woman: "The new Maibatsu Monstrosity…mine’s bigger!"

It is called a "free market."  If people didn’t want SUV’s they wouldn’t buy them.  Nobody is holding a gun the the head of a single commuter and forcing him to buy a Hummer.

As is typical of liberals, they want to tell citizens how to live their lives "for the greater good."

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

I know about 30,000 ex-GM employees who are learning the hard way!

Yeah, gas prices are hurting SUV sales.  But, GM would probably be able to react better to a shifting marketplace if they weren’t stuck with such stringent labor requirements foisted on them by unions.

MI, don’t turn this into a Sideshow Bob thread! Too many people here would not get it.
