Well, he’s certainly not a fiscal conservative, as he lambasted Republicans for initially voting against the bailout. He praised FDR, the man who extended the Great Depression for a decade, for his sound leadership and financial policies. He’s certainly not a social conservative or a security hawk, as he was in favor of McAmnesty.

He certainly has populist and liberal leans as he said that the bailout bill needed to be passed, to prove that Washington has authority. He certainly hasn’t been a sound voice on the debate “Obama, wow me, don’t give me details!” He pleaded for the Biden pick, convinced it would give Obama the election. “Sure, he’s stupid, but he’s genuine!”

So, Brooks is a pro-amnesty, pro-bailout, go Obama commentator, and we’re supposed to buy that he’s a conservative? LOL. Pass.

Texas, Secession, War

I happen to stand watch on the Eastern border of this Great State of Texas.
Not many are suggesting secession just yet.
While we DO have the best, I’m not sure we have enough to defend against the continual attacks from Mexico that would surely start to occur the instant the papers were signed.
THe first several months, it’d be no problem.
After that, it’d be difficult as we would be well into our Reserves by then.
This line of thought doesn’t even begin to consider the defense needs for the Port of Houston & Port Arthur.
We’d need nearly a Regiment to tend the shore taxes from the cargo transfer alone!
