Did Earl Pomeroy Vote For A Health Care Ponzi Scheme?

I think it’s pretty obvious he did, but don’t take my word for it. Listen to Pomeroy’s Democrat colleague Senator Kent Conrad talk about the bill:

The House also contains a new government long-term insurance program that starts collecting premiums in 2011 but doesn’t starting paying benefits until 2016 and then runs out of money in 2029. North Dakota Democrat Kent Conrad called it “a Ponzi scheme of the first order, the kind of thing that Bernie Madoff would have been proud of” in an interview with the Washington Post in late October. Mr. Cooper has with a single vote made his entire career irrelevant.

A “ponzi scheme Bernie Madoff would be proud of.” That’s what Rep. Earl Pomeroy voted for.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Imagine how entertaining ND politics would be if journalism actually excited and we could read this stuff in the paper or see it on the evening news. The riots would require the national Guard when these clowns come to town. I heard Dorgan and Pomeroy are in town for the Energy expo. Dorgan spoke and would take no questions.

I cant wait til pomeroy and dorgan are both gone. Payback time in November. Liberals will get cleaned out after this. I agree with you eugene i think there would be riots too.

I sure hope that nobody running against Nancy Boy Earl uses that against him.

Little Lord Pomeroid and Gaylord Conrad know all about Ponzi schemes since they both grew up living off of them.
