Did Barack Obama Just Disown His Grandmother?
Kathryn Jean Lopez is curious:
Obama has said ‘I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother…’ So did he disown the ‘black community’ and his grandmother today?
Well it certainly sounds like Obama disowned Wright today. Or is trying to, anyway.

What’s been most disturbing about this entire episode is how dishonest Obama has been, from his pretense that he didn’t know about Wright’s radicalism to his excuse now that Wright has somehow become a different person. How insulting that he thinks we’d buy any of this.
I’m beginning to think that Obama has a pretty low opinion of the intelligence of the average American. Either that, or he just hopes we’re not paying very close attention.
