Dick Cheney Indicted By Texas Jury

Apparently a grand jury in Willacy County, Texas indicted Vice President Dick Cheney for...something.

WILLACY COUNTY - A Willacy County grand jury has indicted a number of political figures, including Vice President Dick Cheney.

Indictments have not yet been made public and we’re told a district judge still has to sign the indictments. Two state district judges are also indicted along with Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr.

They indicted several other political figures too.  Some scandal involving all of them?  Or is another one of those moonbat initiatives like getting city councils to pass resolutions indicting Bush for being a war criminal?

Comments

In practice, a grand jury rarely acts in a manner contrary to the wishes of the prosecutor. Judge Sol Wachtler, the former Chief Judge of New York State, was quoted as saying that a prosecutor could persuade a grand jury to “indict a ham sandwich.”

The indictment accuses Cheney and Gonzales of engaging in organized criminal activity. It criticizes Cheney’s investment in the Vanguard Group, which holds interests in the private prison companies running the federal detention centers. It accuses Cheney of a conflict of interest and “at least misdemeanor assaults” on detainees by working through the prison companies.

I live in an ajoining county to Willacy. DA Guerra is a nutcase who has been an embarrasment to Willacy county for years. Recently when his political power was under fire for questionable acts, Guerra laid siege to the county by taking up residence in a dilapidated RV in the courthouse parking lot accompanied by a pen of farm animals, including a goat. Make up your own joke here. Guerra also refused to prosecute legitimate cases brought by the county sheriff because Guerra has a personal vendetta against the sheriff. In short, Guerra is a certified loon and hopefully will get slapped down hard by the WH’s lawyers.

Yep! But don’t worry. If you end up in prison I promise to visit you once a week, and send a care package as often as the rules allow.

di butler: Don’t go for it, push for GITMO! I heard a former Marine Guard today and that place, the prison, should be listed as a 5-Star Resort! So, if they get close, say you are a terrorist and you will get better treatment than most poor Americans.

So..the rules that kept clinton from being charged while in Office are different now?
Or do they not apply to a Vice President?

Nah Nah Reb,

Once there is a Critical Mass of Leftists in power, they can set up interlocking and supporting fields of fire, so to speak, to ensure none of their own are prosecuted to conviction, and contrariwise, can use the investigative function of Congress to harry and harass the remaining Americans.

Is it still to early to shoot?

Dang.

well, if you do happen to end up in a privately owned prison, your chances of dying or being sexually assaulted (due to the guards) are much higher than if you were in a public prison.

also, let’s not forget how private prisons undercut law enforcement jobs by filling guard slots with hourly workers (how long until they use illegals?  do anything that’s cheaper, right?)

does anyone really think prisons do anything but make criminals more effective?

god forbid we think of something new.

do some research on recidivism and rehabilitation.  it may open your eyes.

You bring some laughs also thanks for that we like to see ignorant people make a horses ass out of them selves . we have facts you have nothing but a king who will cut your throat in a heart beat. Welkome to Obamak’s world .And by the way we try to be funny it makes the day go by better, and we back up with facts here . We never lost the flag pal it is part of our history and if you research the civil war it was initiated by the feds trying to stomp on states rights and it was not only about slavery. No self respecting person today would try to enslave any one, unlike your king who is trying his level best to enslave all of our children. Obama is doing nothing with out the OK from the rats who are behind him.

“This is not the first time that Guerra has attempted to turn the justice system into a circus,” Lucio’s attorney Michael R. Cowen said in a written statement. Cowen said the first time was last year when Guerra camped in front of the courthouse in a trailer with three goats, a chicken and a horse after his office was searched as part of a criminal investigation.

“In a recent court proceeding, presiding District Judge J. Manuel Bañales stated, ‘These kinds of cases have made Willacy County the laughing stock of the state/">state/">state/">state and the nation,’ “ Cowen said.
