Despite Obama’s Limp-Wristed Response, Iran Decries American “Intervention” Anyway
Obama has said that he doesn’t want to take a hard line on Iran’s rigged election, as well as the violent and murderous put-down of the resulting protests, because he doesn’t want to be seen as “meddling” in Iranian affairs. Well surprise, the Iranians have decided to up and accuse us of meddling anyway.
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned the Swiss ambassador, who represents U.S. interests in Tehran, on Wednesday to protest at “interventionist” U.S. statements on the country’s June 12 election, Fars News Agency reported.
The Foreign Ministry communicated Iran’s “protest and displeasure” over statements by U.S. government officials about the outcome of the presidential vote, Fars said.
This is the problem with trying to appease a regime like Iran as Obama is. It doesn’t matter what we do, we’re the Great Satan. We’re the enemy. Stalin had his bourgeois capitalists. Hitler had the Jews. The Castro regime has the “Yanquis.” Iran has the “Great Satan.”
No matter what we do, because our backing of freedom runs contrary to these people’s totalitarian rule, we’re the bad guys. So we may as well speak out and not worry about what the tyrants and dictators of the world think about it.
