Gosh, nice comments to read this am

Here is my take on this, and it is only *my* take, so could be waaay off, but, can we just get a politician, ANY politician who will just stand by their remarks no matter the political fallout. Do we just have NO Mr. Smith any longer??? Everything is phony. Everything is focused group and calculated as to how it will play at home just to get them elected again.

There are a few who stand up no matter what may come from their opinions and whether you agree with them or not(on one side of the spectrum you have Ron Paul who stands up for his beliefs and on the other side you have Dennis Kuchnicich(sorry for the spelling) who stands for his beliefs no matter what), but most politicians are just slimy

I believe she did not misspeak. I believe she is a racist. I believe she is an activist judge, which sounds all fine and good, IF the activist judge falls where you are politically, BUT, it isn’t so good if you all of the sudden have an activist judge that you do NOT agree with, and that is why you need a judge who strictly follows the law and the constitution….it protects everybody that way.

Regardless of what I believe, I could respect her if she just says “yes, and I stand by it” vs the political spin and focus group “managing” of things

She will be confirmed and be liberal justice. Obama will get to appoint at least one more justice and that person too, will be a liberal.

What is liberal justice? In my understanding of how the supreme court works; politics, race, religion, creed are not supposed to make any different to a blind justice. This blind justice rules on the issues at hand, not the person at hand.

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when a person advocates justice based on a political dogma.

On the other hand the fact that Obama has appointed a bigot isn’t going to help him in 2012 nor is it going to help the Dems in 2010.

That’s not quite accurate. They are still supposed to follow the guidelines of the Constitution. You know, that document that defines the rights of the individual, and the limits of the government. Stand alone complex. They did not vote for Obama, they voted against Bush. Obama was the opposite in the dynamic.

There’s a vast difference between being for something and against that thing’s opposition. One is an affirmation, a willful attachment, a perceived likeness and relationship inferred by it in the mind. The other is negation, a dismissal, a refusal, of whatever it is at hand. One requires affinity and the other requires less than that. One requires thought and positive feeling and opening and the other requires reflex and negative feeling and closing.

Notice that the libtards here do not speak in affirmation of Obama. Buzz is an open racist. Hannitized is a slightly more closested racist. Dino is just plain insanely hateful of everything.

None of them is actually affirmative, none of them expresses actual affinity for Obama. None of them can state his principles keeping to the ones Obama has actually gone on record with, and then state logical consistent and heartfelt reasoning for being in favor of those things. All they have is hating the other guy.

The more we on the other side put reasoning together and our hearts to that reasoning, the more they become nastier, frothing at the mouth in frustration and anger at not understanding us and our convictions because they have no convictions. They have animosity without reasoning and cannot comprehend affirmation.

I meet a lot of people who acknowledge voting for Obama in theory, that is to say actually pulling the lever or filing in a big X on the card, but cannot remember for the life of them why. They have a sort of demeanor like someone who five minutes ago was single and 22 and is suddenly after one eye blink 48 with three kids and they are all bad apples and the spouse is a cantankerous git. They all have a “what the fuck just happened” sort of shock mixed with a growing anger and resentment over what they are slowly feeling was a rip-off of epic proportions.

Continuing with human dualism they now default to the Republicans slowly but surely.
