Democrats Outraged About Troops Being Informed Of Their Positions On The War

Factual information about the political statements of politicians being distributed to the troops?  That’s outrageous!

The sheets of paper seemed to be everywhere the lawmakers went in the Green Zone, distributed to Iraqi officials, U.S. officials and uniformed military of no particular rank. So when Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) asked a soldier last weekend just what he was holding, the congressman was taken aback to find out.

In the soldier’s hand was a thumbnail biography, distributed before each of the congressmen’s meetings in Baghdad, which let meeting participants such as that soldier know where each of the lawmakers stands on the war. “Moran on Iraq policy,” read one section, going on to cite some the congressman’s most incendiary statements, such as, “This has been the worst foreign policy fiasco in American history.”

The bio of Rep. Ellen O. Tauscher (D-Calif.)—“TAU (rhymes with ‘now’wink-sher,” the bio helpfully relates—was no less pointed, even if she once supported the war and has taken heat from liberal Bay Area constituents who remain wary of her position. “Our forces are caught in the middle of an escalating sectarian conflict in Iraq, with no end in sight,” the bio quotes.

“This is beyond parsing. This is being slimed in the Green Zone,” Tauscher said of her bio.

Leave it to a Democrat to call a factually-accurate, if inconveniently distributed, representation of her own political statements and actions a “sliming.”

What utter clowns these Democrats are.  And how pathetic it is that our military feels the need to counter their defeatist rhetoric with efforts like this one.

a thumbnail biography...which let...that soldier know where each of the lawmakers stands on the war.

Hard to beat good intel!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Leftie lie; it’s all they have.  They thrive in the darkness of the MSM’s biased reporting, and scatter like cockroaches when the light of truth is shined on them.

That should be:  “Lefties lie...”

What’s outrageous is the Iraqi national security advisor watches cartoons during the middle of the day instead of figuring out the security of his own nation.

Even if your statement has any truth to it(highly doubtful), you suddenly claim to have moral standards when you condone the killing of helpless human fetuses, as well as the hijacking of businesses by union thugs?  You think it’s outrageous when a guy watches some cartoons(if true), but you don’t care about really serious stuff? Convenient morality, indeed.

HA!...That is too funny. Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow.

R108, you are just laughable, you choose to believe the part of the MSM story here that supports your beliefs and call into question the part that doesn’t. Boy you are rolling it all together today aren’t you?

But, as I’ve always known, rightie whacks like you R108 lie, it’s all you have.

ZZ, I think your comment fits better on the Craig thread.

More nonsense and lies from you.  The WaPo reported it as the legislators being “slimed”; they agendized it instead of simply reporting the facts.  That’s what they do.  They manufacture the news.  BTW, one newspaper reporting this, even their agendized lying about it, doesn’t constitute the MSM giving it the attention it deserves.  Contrast the coverage of this(along with Hillary’s campaign money crimes) with that of the gay smear against Larry Craig.  Your denial is typical.

And...puzzled decides to change the subject.

So predictable.

Rob, didn’t change the subject just mentioned the other part of the article which you chose to ignore since it doesn’t fit with your picture of all’s well in Iraq.

Democrats do not know what to do with The Truth.  They tell so many lies and have no idea that a whole “nother” would exists outside Washington, D. C.

puzz, I must come to your rescue, as distasteful as that is. I read this at Powerline and got into the thread over there. This Iraqi minister, Al Rubaie, is insulting them, openly. Democrats have crapped all over the Iraqi Government and they get 0(zero) respect from anyone in said government. They all know which side of the ocean the carbombs are going off on. And who is fighting to allow them to continue and accelerate. They know the Democrat Party is their enemy, just as Al Queda is.

And these Democrats are also busy crapping all over the US Military. Never occurs to them that 60% of the members of the US military have as much, and in many case much more, education than any Democrat or Republican in Congress, and 80% are very politically aware. That is what comes from drawing upon NG and Reserves for combat deployments. A military that is manned by educated, successful, motivated volunteers. Who also know the Democrat Party is the enemy, just as is Al Queda, just as the Taleban is.

Hope that helps, sweetheart.

I suspect the troops agree with most of what is being quoted by the Dems. It is one of the worst foreign policy fiascoes, and is shaping up to be one of the worst domestic policy fiascoes. Just watch the economy implode as the war debt sinks the dollar.

And the stupid Dems are going to push for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates. That will buy just enough time for Bush to creep away, while the bubble economy inflates further. What goes up, must come down. The establishment Republicrats are accumulating wealth and the rest of us are going to get hammered.

It’s not about “left and right.” It’s about the insiders and the rest of us pawns. The lower ranking troops are pawns in the elite’s war.

Another leftie lie.  Govt spending on entitlements and other social engineering schemes is four times what is being spent for the entire defense network.  If we sink, it will be because of social spending, not defense spending.  Do the math.

Then why are the Dems outraged by the troops knowing what they stand for?  Doesn’t make sense, unless the troops don’t agree with them.
