Democrats Find Themselves On Iraqi Thug Muqtada al-Sadr’s Side

How inconvenient for them.

BAGHDAD — Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr launched a strong attack Saturday on President George W. Bush, calling him the “greatest evil” for refusing to withdraw American troops from Iraq.
Al-Sadr’s statement was read during a parliament session by his cousin, Liqaa al-Yassin, after the U.S. Congress ordered U.S. troops to begin leaving Iraq by Oct. 1. Bush pledged to veto the measure and neither the House nor the Senate passed the measure with enough votes to override him.
“Here are the Democrats calling you to withdraw or even set a timetable and you are not responding,” al-Sadr’s statement said.

Translation: “Why don’t you just do what the Democrats want already and give up so that I can come back to Iraq from my hidey-hole in Iran and get back to opposing the democratically-elected Iraqi government and setting myself up as Saddam’s successor?”

Yet another example of commonality of purpose, not conspiracy, as if that matters.

    Great retort, Wonald.

You’re a regular Jackie Mason, you are.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

    Jackie Mason?

His English skills are closer to Jackie Chan!

  • http://www.kenmccracken.blogspot.com/ Ken McCracken

    LOL

    Now that’s a retort!

  • Ronald Walter

The last one I attended, you were there.

http://www.RealWisconsinNews.com is seeking a writer to pen an article about what would happen if Bush surrendered in Iraq. My point of view is that the Dems can’t really want a pull out deep down and that if they do, they have no idea of destructive power vacuum that would occur. Should be written as funny satire. Would love to see shots at Fiengold and Reid and a few others, but use your creativity. If writer has a blog, they will get linkage.

Here’s a seed line from Bush’s announcement of the surrender:

“…In any case, the United States, exceptin Texas, surrender in Iraq effective in three weeks.”

    and

Big idea guy and Congressman Jack Murtha was a little confused by the turn of events, stating, “Bush actually surrendered? Umm, is that really such a good idea? My understanding was that all this hullabaloo on our side of the aisle was about getting some camera time and getting back in power so we can control the pork, umm, budget. I thought we were just using an inevitable pull-out, to make it look like we achieved something. It’s not really a good idea to just pull up and leave right now is it?” Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean quickly intervened and suggested Murtha “shut the f#%k up.”

    and

Despite the Democratic happy thoughts, Iraqi Sunni’s worry that the United States withdrawal will have dire consequences for them. Said shop keeper Ali Hamed, “If the United States and United Nations allow Al-Sadr (who is currently in Iran) to come back with his militias, then all Sunni’s will be killed or driven out. What then? Do those of us who get out get the rest of Michigan?”

    and

Iranian President Ahmadinejad made assurances that security would be maintained for its neighbor however. “Iran will provide assistance to the Iraqi government to establish full security. We believe strengthening the Iraqi government is tantamount to promoting security, peace and friendship in that country.” Responding to questioning about global fears that Iran would interfere or try to influence Iraq, and use it as a springboard to regional hegemonic intimidation and war on Israel, Ahmadinejad is quoted as saying, “The Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq enjoy deep-rooted historical relations beyond normal ties between two neighboring states. We regard progress, independence and territory of Iraq as our own… which doesn’t mean (waving his hand like Obi-Wan Knobi) that we will continue to undermine the regional security and cleanse the area of non-Shiite infidels. The Islamic Republic simply wants peace and joy in the world, except for the Israelis of course, who we intend to wipe off the face of the planet with our soon to be functional death ray.” With that, Ahmadinejad adjusted his bunny ears and hopped off.

    and

Said new United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who was elected by the loudest applaus, “Anything the U.N. can do to foster a stable democratic nation in Iraq we will do; well except send peacekeepers, food, materials to rebuild infrastructure, communications technology, engineers, teachers, or doctors or anything else like that. What we do have to offer actually are NGO (non-governmental organization) advisors who can oversee that money and aid transfers get to where we want it. Kofi built quite a network for that.”

That’s about where we’re at, but are having a hard time putting the final touches on it. Have at it. BTW, it’s already copyrighted.

Why is that piece of offal still alive? He might have been outed at Fajullah if the ccwardly bastard hadn’t abandoned his followers to run for cover. As long as he is alive he will foster unrest in Iraq and as such is a destabilizing force.

Democrats Find Themselves On Iraqi Thug Muqtada al-Sadr’s Side
    By Rob on April 28

We should send Donald Rumsfeld to meet and confer with Muqtada al-Sadr, as he was our emissary to Sadamm Husein during the Reagan administrtion, and already knows how to huddle with Iraqi leaders.

  • Eneils Bailey

“I can come back to Iraq from my hidey-hole in Iran”

Sounds like he has the gun loaded, the bombs ready, and the donkey all warmed up. He’s just waitng for the DNC to give him the signal to go.

  • docdave

Hell is reading your rambling ranting screeds, Ronald. Get a life cause you don’t have one.

  • MikeAdamson

I’m sorry but this is silly. The Iranians didn’t like Saddam so that puts America on Iran’s side if I follow this logic. Tres lame.

  • carrick

Sadr is a washed up nobody, or at least was until the Democrats gave him new life. His most recent “protest” was a perfect example of that…. he got less than 10,000 people to show, no doubt mostly his own militia members who were ordered to attend…

How fat did they make you, Mr. Fathead?

  • http://www.kenmccracken.blogspot.com/ Ken McCracken

    Hey Wonald, cookies are fattening.

Thought you might like to know that.

  • Bat One

    Ronald,

With all due respect, if I was as cognitively dysfunctional as you clearly are, and as wildly inept a writer besides, I can’t imagine that I would be as persistent in displaying those disabilities as you have been.

You’ve written nothing of any significance, and done so as poorly as anyone who has ever posted comments here. Surely it must occur to you at some point to be embarrassed by your abject failure.

  • Puzzlefeet

Can’t give you anything substantive King Robert since there wasn’t anything substantive to respond to from the post or from you. got it now?

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Pavlov’s dog had a better life than any drooling, retarded, brain-dead ‘Republican.’

This is coming from an expert! I doubt that anyone knows more about drool than Ron Wa! (Just from personal experience!)

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

BTW Ron Wa, thanks for giving us the classic example of a troll, cruising in name calling and with no attempt to engage in conversation.
Go back to your bridge! And since you used the word ‘Republican’, have a cookie!

  • robert108

Yet another piece of drivvel from the right wing nut section.

Princess P: Since you give no factual argument, are you suggesting that he didn’t say what he said?
    I’m referring to this:

“Here are the Democrats calling you to withdraw or even set a timetable and you are not responding,” al-Sadr’s statement said.

    Got anything substantive?

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

    Whoa! be nice.

It was not my intention to insult Mr. Chan. I am a big fan of his movies. But, if you watch the outtakes at the end, you realize that he struggles with the language, which, indeed is not his native language.

My point, aside from the symmetry of the “Jackies” was to imply that the native born English speaker Lying Crapweasel, er I mean Ronald Walter, is inept at communicating as if he were struggling with a second language and that the struggle rests firmly in the vacuum between his ears.

It was a cheap shot at Jackie’s expense and I apologize.

I should also apologize to Ronald. When I went to Jr. High school, there was a kid at our school who was developmentally disabled. Back then, we called them “retarded”. Well, this guy would wander around the campus all day with one hand stuck down the front of his pants, playing with himself.
First of all, Ronald, let me apologize for not recognizing you sooner! Also, let me show my admiration to you, for what little drivel you don’t cut and paste is surely typed with one hand!
You’ve come a long way, Ronald!

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/ likwidshoe

Yet another piece of drivvel from the right wing nut section.

Don’t be silly. Muqtada al-Sadr is not on the right. He’s siding with YOU.

  • Ronald Walter

The offal that you are talking about is really the ‘Republicans.’

“They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” -George Bush

Therefore, Mr. Bush and Mr. Sadr are on the same page.

So you see, the xenophobes here at sayanything as long as it is a right wing fascist lie followed by propaganda and ad hominems blog blah can’t really understand that as long as US troops are present in Iraq, the war will continue.

As long as it pays for the ‘Republicans,’ a nod of approval is what prevails. If it harms the American taxslaves, so be it.

Say a prayer for ‘Republicans’ this day, Sunday.

They need all of the help they can get. The ‘Republicans’ sit on their hands until it is too late, and then they run around the countryside all over the world begging for help.

It is moral treason to lend them a helping hand.

You can’t tell them to go to hell, they’re there already.

No, woofie. The 1,750,000 Shia marchers were celebrating the fall of Saddam and his Ba’athist Regime. Mookie’s followers numbered 10-12,000 and were disbursed in tightly organized groups throughout the Shia marchers in 7 different cities. This according to the onscene Al Jazeera reporter during the marches.

  • carrick

Mike, Chamberlain wasn’t on Hitler’s side either.

The obvious point is that the Democrat’s strategy is facilitating our enemies return to power. And that makes perfect sense in a world in which the Democrats are picking their strategy based on opposition to Bush and not on what is best for the US.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

    ‘Republicans’

Ron Walter is a troll-for-hire. It’s obvious that every time he uses the word ‘Republicans’ in quotes, somebody gives him a cookie!

Be careful, you will starve to death.

    Proof,
I remember this when I see Ronald has blessed us with his droppings from universes afar.

Can’t give you anything substantive King Robert since there wasn’t anything substantive to respond to from the post or from you. got it now?

Saying that the Dems and al-Sadr share a commonality of purpose isn’t substantive? Your response was nothing but name-calling.
In any case, even if I hadn’t said anything substantive, that wouldn’t prevent you from doing so. Do I determine your level of argument now? Pathetic. Still no substance from you.

Two more cookies for Ron Wa!

  • Ronald Walter

It’s all just words on e-pages.

I don’t cast pearls before swine.

Go visit with your ‘Republican’ friends like Mark Foley and Neal Horsley along with the plethora of other ‘Republican’ sex offenders who have become so offensive to humanity.

You also deserve the hell that awaits them.

I don’t feel sorry for any of you.

    Don’t wait up for me!

Yes, but he only gets a cookie when he uses the word Republican in scare quotes. Which he tediously does every time he uses the word.

    He must love cookies.

  • FlyOnTheWall

His English skills are closer to Jackie Chan!

Whoa! be nice. Jackie Chan’s english is stumbling but passable. And it’s his third or fourth language. Comparing his driven and successful self to . . . that ‘retort’ is insulting.

Many waved Iraqi flags as protests focused on the coalition
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi Shias have demonstrated in the holy city of Najaf, calling for US-led troops to leave Iraq.

Stumbling on the road to democracy 2004.

The US closure of an irregularly published newspaper with just 5,000 readers seemed a tiny moment in the struggle for stability in Iraq. But the March 28 move to close Al Hawza, controlled by militant Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, now looks like the edge of a violent storm.

How its twin fronts – of Shiite militias and Sunni insurgents – built and combined to create what might be described as the perfect Iraqi sandstorm is only now coming into focus

The closure provided a pretext for Sadr to call out thousands of supporters for daily protests in Baghdad and helped him win sympathy from many previously skeptical Iraqis who felt he was being unfairly muzzled.
