Democrats Allergic To Their True Nature

The Conservative Manifesto makes a good point:

Democrats today seem to have acquired an interesting allergy in recent years. They seem to be deathly afraid of accurate labels for their ideologies, policies, etc.

Case in point: Hillary Clinton in recent days.

At the recent YouTube debate, when asked if the term “liberal” essentially represents her and her positions, she of course began sneezing the typical line that we’ve all heard from our dear friends on the left.

“I prefer the word ‘progressive,’” she said, as many liberals do today.

Here’s video of Hillary’s comments:

Conservative Manifesto also links to video of Hillary’s freak out which occurred when a reporter dared to call socialized medicine…socialized medicine.  Because Hillary, naturally, objects to the idea that any of her preferred policies are the least bit socialistic in nature.  They are socialistic, of course, but Hillary likes to hide her true nature from the voters.

Which is a big difference between the left and right.  Conservatives make no bones about what they stand for.  Limited government.  Low taxes.  Individual liberty and, with that (because the two are inseparable) individual responsibility.  Liberals, on the other hand, are about growing the size of government and amassing more and more power in the central government.  They don’t tell you that, of course.  Rather, they accomplish their goal by selling voters on lots of lots of entitlement and social programs which, rather than empowering people so that they are independent, makes people more dependent on the government.

Thus transferring power from the individual to the government.
