Democrats: We’re Happy With America’s Stagnant Job Growth

wasserman-schultz

Citing consecutive months of job growth, DNC Chairwoman Deborah Wasserman-Schultz says her party is “happy” with job growth in America.

Wasserman-Schultz is certainly correct when she cites consecutive months of job growth. The problem is that, while the economy has been adding jobs, it hasn’t been adding them fast enough to keep up with population growth. The only reason we haven’t been going backward on the national unemployment rate is because the labor pool has been shrinking as Americans give up looking for jobs and fall out of the statistical set used to calculate the unemployment rate.

The unemployment rate only counts those who are employed or looking for a job. If you stop looking, you’re no longer counted.

Democrats can’t really be “happy” about that.

6,000,000 – 7,200,000 jobs.  That is what the economy needs to add every 4 years just to keep up with population growth.  For it to have been a ‘recovery’, you have to add significantly MORE jobs than that.

The Obama economy is doing no better than bouncing at the bottom.

Of course she and the Democrats are happy with stagnation. They harvest misery into votes and as long as people are miserable they are able to rub raw their sores of discontent. Divide and conquer.

I should feel better about the fact that this is one of the dummies in charge of the Democrat party…but then I think, why are they in charge of the country in Senate and White House.   Dummies voted them in.  We are sooo doomed if this continues.  I don’t love Romney, but I despise the dummies more.  ROMNEY 2012

Better analogy would be a flooded boat, trying to stay afloat…
“Hey we just pumped out 10 gallons of water”

Meanwhile the boat is still flooded from before they started “pumping water”, and more water is flooding in……but lets be proud of the 10 gallons of water we pumped out….its a step in the right direction…….

Good analogy but the democrats are selling life vests, the deeper the boat sinks the more demand for their product.  They have no intention of getting the boat going again.

Besides the bucket, we’re going to need a gag for her mouth, and, just a hunch, plenty of perfume…

They are not gonna be happy with this new poll:

“The USA TODAY Poll shows that Republicans, who lagged in enthusiasm in the last swing states survey, have gained an edge now. That may reflect growing comfort with Romney becoming the nominee now that the GOP primaries are over. Among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, 30% say they are extremely enthusiastic about voting, up 5 points from the spring.

Among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, 23% are extremely enthusiastic, a 3-point dip from the last survey.”

*A lesson in irony between 2 Fed Agencies……….. “The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever, to 46 million people.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.” Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.”

so………if the wild animals got to vote……..they’d get the equivilent of food stamps also?……maybe thats the next dem’cat voter registration push huh?   It fits with the wacko animal rights credo already.

Our friend Donny Baseball points to the fact that the unemployment report is actually based  on a totally  unsubstantiated estimate known as the “Birth – Death Model” for small business creation:

Another famous guessing factor relates to the very joobs numbers we get today.  It’s called the “birth – death model” and it tries to figure out how many jobs were created by brand new businesses that can’t be counted, and nets this out with jobs lost by failed businesses that also can’t be counted…
The birth-death model, which approximates the amount of jobs gained through new businesses created too recently to be counted in the formal survey, added 124,000 positions, meaning that without the estimation the total count would have been a loss of 44,000.

In other words, if the “birth – death model” is boosted high enough a negative net jobs created number can be made to look positive.
