Democrat Wants Guantanamo Bay Closed, But Would Prefer The Prisoners Not Be Sent To Her State

Here’s Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, a Democrat and close ally of Obama, talking about her desire to see the terrorist detention facility in Guantanamo Bay closed:

“We’ve got to discontinue the use of Guantanamo Bay. … I think it gives the world a real question about how America values our democratic principles. It seems to violate everything our Founding Fathers said in the first place.”

Now here’s Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius saying, in the same interview, that she’d rather not have the terrorists from Guantanamo Bay in her state:

“I don’t have to want them in Kansas. Closing Guantanamo Bay doesn’t mean the prisoners come to the heartland of America.”

Just to review: Detaining the dangerous terrorists in Guantanamo Bay violates everything out Founding Fathers stood for. But keeping them the hell out of Kansas doesn’t.

Since the governor of Kansas wants Guantanamo Bay closed so bad she should have to take every one of em in and live with her and she can babysit them all. What a stupid move by our government to close this facility and someday they will see this when it is too late and we have more terrorists running loose in this country wreaking havoc on us. What is wrong with the politicians of this country?? I bet our founding fathers of this country would roll over in their graves if they saw what all is going on in America.

The best line I’ve seen was on Michelle Malkin’s blog after Rep Murtha said Pennsylvania would take them.

A Pennsylvania citizen said they would take the prisoners if Gitmo took Murtha!!!

No the dems don’t have a plan, but instead the Messiah is going to form some committees to “look into” what the next course of action should be. Woulda thought he would have had a plan before signing an executive order closing Club Gitmo. What an empty suit….pandering….once again.

I just heard on the news that out of the “detainees” that have already been released and sent home from Gitmo, 61 were re-captured on the battle field fighting our troops.

By the end of this, I think Obama’s going to wish he’d never mentioned Guantanamo Bay.

Notice the signed the order upon taking office…but it doesn’t close for a year.

I’ll bet he delays and delays and hopes people forget about the issue.
