Democrat Talks Tax Cuts To Rebuild Economy

A Democrat named John F. Kennedy:

Anyone else wishing that modern Democrats were this economically literate?  That Barack Obama, for all the fawning and absurd comparisons of him to JFK, grasped the concepts of tax cuts and their impact on the economy in this same way?

JFK was a tax cutter.  Barack Obama, on the other hand, is trying to sell his economic plans by saying that they’ll only raise taxes on a small number of “rich” Americans.  Something that’s an outright lie.

Anyone that thinks that business (or the wealthy that own the businesses) will just take a tax hike and not pass it on to the consumer is a fool.

I think Lieberman’s speech about the democrats of old was so right on.  Who are these people who have hijacked the democrat party?

Approximately 70% of Americans have some sort of investment in the stockmarket, and any income they get from those investments will be subject to the capital gains tax.

There’s no way 70% of the population holds investments that would be taxable at cap gain rates.

Further, the sale of any property (second homes, investment land, lake cabins, or even the sale of things like coin collections) can be taxed as capital gains as well.

There’s no way even more than a small percentage of Americans would realize more than 500k on the sale of a home.

Looks like that’s all you’ve got.  Thin gruel.
