Defending The American Dream Summit: Sam Brownback

Sam Brownback is a dry man.  Not quite humorless, but very bland.  Milquetoast even.  I think the fact that he’s so religious is what makes me want to compare him to those tasteless wafers I used to eat for communion at church back when I used to go with my parents.

Brownback came out and said the appropriate things about limiting government, cutting spending and cutting taxes – and I’m sure he’s got a few interesting ideas about those things (his talk of something called an optional flat tax caught my attention) – but he’s ultimately such a bland guy that I just can’t quite bring myself to care about much of anything he says.

O come thou Brownback isn’t bland. After all he is part holy warior and part holy fool. That’s right Brownback was the incompetent fool who was snookered by the National Organization of Women and agreed to sponsor a law that makes it a crime for an American man to send a love letter to a women in a foreign country.

I am talking about the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 a blatantly unconstitutional law that requires American men to submit their personal and criminal history for review before they can communicate with a woman in a foreign country if they use a matchmaking organiation.
Ironically Brownback says he is pro family and pro marriage but yet he compromises his stated beliefs by regulating (PREVENTING) marriages based upon fabricated lies and outrageous fraud being perpetuated by the National Organization of Women incinuating that American men who date foreigners are premediditated torturers, serial rapists and pedophiles.

Hmm.. Sure is funny that International romance is suddenly such a radioactive pursuit. I wonder how much money the National Organization of Women bilked out of the taxpayers of America evoking moral panic in issues they have a vested interest in to hijack governmental policy.

Supposedly the National Organization of Women claims the purpose of the law is to protect women. But of course the Nationa Organization of Women lied to the politicans and media spoon feeding their lies over and over by lobbying with thousands (perhaps $ millions) of taxpayers money creating hysteria.
Meanwhile the only reliable study of abuse involving International marriages was conducted by Immigration Service in 1999 that showed an abuse rate of 1%- faer lesss then the abuse rate for all US couples.

Welcome to the National Organization of Women’s world of deception whee political agenda’s count more than the truth.

Well the real purpose of the law is to making it increasingly difficult for American men from seeking or corresponding with foreign women as stated by some jealous feminists in a PR release by the “Promoters of the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act”.
