An excellent exploration of the anti-war “chickenhawk” argument from Bat One on the reader blog. An excerpt:
Again, the basis for the “chickenhawk” argument is to slay the messenger with accusation of hypocrisy while avoiding the underlying substantive issue. But in the end, the argument itself, and those who offer it, are inordinately stupid. By the terms of that argument, none of the Democrat candidates are qualified to say much of anything. And the only apparent way out of the trap which they themselves have constructed, is more liberal hypocrisy.
