Deadwood May Be Dead

Oh no!

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- The upcoming third season of HBO's "Deadwood" might mark the end of the dark Western.

The pay cable network has opted not to pick up the options of the actors on the show, releasing them to pursue other projects.

"Deadwood" creator David Milch is shifting his attention to "John From Cincinnati," a one-hour project he is writing for HBO. The surfing-themed drama has been ordered as a pilot, subject to finalizing deals on the financial and talent side.

Why do they always do this to the best shows? We got like, two damn decades of Friends, but we can't get past three seasons of Deadwood?

C'mon....

My favorite (and only) series that I watched in recent years was Nero Wolf on A & E.  Unfortunately it only lasted two seasons.

You should know by now, it’s a plot. When Hollywood finds out that a conservative likes a show they cancel it a soon as the can.

That’s a damn shame. I love that show. By the way Rob, have you watched ‘Lost’? It’s really, really good stuff.

Tried to watch it a few times.  It was too slow for me.  I look forward to seeing Ed Norton in this modern cowboy film:

you know, I am looking forward to Aussie western "the proposition." Nick Cave wrote the script, Guy Pierce stars in it and it looks freaking awesome.
