    Danny do you really think this was our first choice for our nominee? I still haven’t figured out how McCain became our nominee. He is as about as much of a Republican as Lieberman is a Democrat. I’ve talked to so many people around me who just don’t care any more, we all think we are screwed either way.

    My choice would have been Fred, he seems like a guy who is a leader and truly believes in what he says. I’m sick of the latest poll watchers as our government officials. To me it seems that we aren’t electing leaders we are electing people who follow the polls.

    Biden said this was going to be an international crisis, a generated crisis to test Barack Obama. He tried to tie Obama to Kennedy,though why I don’t know. Saying that they were going to need their supporters to help them. To me, the question is why did he feel compelled to say all of this? Is it because they were recently briefed and he knows something and being Joe he can’t keep his mouth shut? Or is this just something he has made up thinking it sounded like he was the badass expert guiding the young Obama? This was totally stupid or incredibly dangerous, or I maybe both.

    It’s racist to say that Obama would bee seen a having a spine made of steel? That is the sort of response i would expect from an SAB audience member.

    The gaffe was that Obama would be tested because he is young and that do we really want to invite a young guy into the white house where our enemies would feel compelled to “test him”. There is nothing racist in that statement, at all.

    The only reason anyone questions what would happen if Palin said that is because she has much more of the media lime light than Biden does. Why they have more of an interest in Palin is obvious.

    bush’s Secretary Chertoff seems to agree with Biden:

    “Any period of transition creates a greater vulnerability, meaning there’s more likelihood of distraction,” Chertoff said in an interview. “You have to be concerned it will create an operational opportunity for terrorists.”

    Me neither. If the GOP had nominated an inspiring candidate, one better able to communicate and advance conservative principles (one who actually, you know, cared about those principles) Obama would be toast.

    Bin Laden is marginalized in a cave somewhere, if he’s even alive. Kim Jong-il may or may not be alive. Ahmadinejad is still a threat, of course, but a threat that illustrates exactly why cutting-and-running in Iraq (as Barry H. Obama and the rest of the Demcorats wanted to do) would have been such a mistake.

    I doubt Rather would be reporting on it. He’s too busy reporting on all the al Qaeda cells that the Bush admin is supporting in Pakistan.
