Crossroads Hits Heitkamp For Supporting Obamacare Tax
11:21am
A while back Heidi Heitkamp released an ad the thrust of which was that she can’t be criticized about Obamacare because she had breast cancer once upon a time. You see, she’s a victim, ergo she has absolute moral authority to talk about Obamacare without anyone questioning her. Or something.
Anyway, Crossroads has released an ad responding to her ad. Here it is:
This is rapid response. Yesterday the Supreme Court held that the mandate is a tax, not interstate regulation, and so Republicans are running with it. Let’s hear Heidi defend a half-trillion dollar tax hike on the American middle class.
Also interesting, though, is this update to the Politico post about the ad:
A Democratic reader emails to point out it may not be risk-free for the group to hit Heitkamp on an ad in which she talks about overcoming breast cancer.
See? I told you that was what Heitkamp was playing at by bringing up the breast cancer thing. She’s trying to make herself off limits for criticism on Obamacare. Because if you respond to her, then you love breast cancer and hate women or something.
Ridiculous.
In related news, how much do you want to be that the “Democratic reader” is a member of the Heitkamp campaign?
