Cracker Barrel Aptly Named?

Could be if this civil rights lawsuit gets any traction.

Best part about it?  The lawsuit is backed by Chris Rock’s mom.

On a somewhat related note, it’s always amazed me that people like Rock can get away with mocking white people and calling them “crackers” in a media environment where Tony Snow and other political figures get in hot water for using the term “tar baby” to describe a sticky situation.

How far do you think a white comedian would get if he did routines where me mocked black people and called them “jungle bunnies” or whatever?

But that’s just a reality of our politically correct culture.  Double standards abound.  Black people can’t be racist, but white people can.  Calling fanatical Muslims “fascists” is wrong, but calling pro-life life Christians who support prayer in school the “American Taliban” is a-ok.

Screw ‘em.  Cracker Barrel used to be my family’s favorite restaurant where we went to vacation.  They closed it last year.

Actually I didn’t see any problem with blacks getting in.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Justice Department alleged that in seven states, Cracker Barrel restaurants segregated customers by race, favored white customers and allowed white servers to refuse to wait on African-American customers.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that year also sued Cracker Barrel stores in Illinois for sex bias and racial harassment. This year Cracker Barrel entered into a $2 million consent decree to resolve that lawsuit.

CB also fired gay servers.

IF I owned a restaurant and Al Sharpton came in?  I wouldn’t want to serve him either. He is such an angry loud greesy looking character. AND anywhere he goes someone gets sued...Sorry Al. NO Soup for You!

I just don’t like Al Sharpton. I think he is such an angry sort. Very unpleasent. I like Chris Rock! He is funny.

Does Larry the Cable Guy make fun of black people?

First I’ve heard of that…

You know, Davey, being a “redneck” doesn’t automatically make one a racist.

You and your stereotypes…

I happen to find Sharpton quite humorous.  Every time something big happens, it’s kind of a game to guess how he is going to spin is so that Bush is trodding on the black man.

It’s got that novelty kinda like circus tent revival.

Dave:  I’m not a Larry Fan.  So please help me and let me know when he’s done racist stuff?
