Couric Asks Iraqi: Do You Long For Saddam?

Unbelievable...

In a recent interview with an Iraqi leader, CBS News Anchor Katie Couric asked an Iraqi woman if she missed Saddam Hussein.

In all seriousness, at the end of her two minute interview with Executive Director of the American Islamic Congress Zainab Al-Suwaij Couric asked Zainab, “Do you ever long for the days of Saddam Hussein?”

Zainab immediately said “No.”

Couric paused, waiting for Zainab to explain. After taking a breath Zainab emphasized “no” again and “we hope for a better Iraq.”

Katie may as well have asked this woman if she longed for breast cancer.

How any serious Ameican journalist could consider that a legitimate question is beyond me.

Rob, you’ve answered your own question. A serious journalist she ain’t. She’s a perky talk show hostess that they hoped would draw ratings when they elevated her to anchor status. The Peter Principle lives.

Ok of the 3 the only one I ever saw was Brinkley.

The best part of his career was his last moment.  He thought the cameras were off on election night 2004.  He said thinking he was off camera that Clinton was a bore.

She has never been credible and most of the dry by media isn’t credible either. They have done numerous surveys saying the media is biased towards the left. Ding, ding, ding. No one has to tell us anymore. I think its funny every time the lefties don’t like the line of questioning on Fox news they get combative and attack the station its because ABC, CBS and NBC don’t ask tough questions at all. They throw softballs and have love fests.

Katie Couric longs for Saddam. She is such a GW Bush hater that she probably really thought that would have been a legitimate question. That is pitiful.

Its a legitimate question. How about the questions that Jeff Gannon used to ask Bush? That was 10 times more of a display of hackery.

Do you long for Saddam is the stupidest question. Not to mention very transparent of Katie and her dislike for the President. Katie Couric still has a hangover from the last Presidential election.

I don’t really care for Katie COuric and I don’t really listen to her reports or give a shit about her political leanings. The fact remains that the question gave an opportunity for whoever she was interviewing to elucidate the benefits of not having Saddam in power any more. It is not a loaded or unfair question. She could have worded it differently, but again, I don’t care about that chick.
