You don’t get it huh? The rest of this country continues to poke fun at your weather, your speech, and apparently your intellect. It’s the same as Black dialect but, of course, cheap jokes involving Blacks are Verboten. When Tina Fey does her Sarah Palin diatribes she is, in reality, putting down all you, supposed, hicks in flyover country, much like the guy in this skit did. And you enjoy being laughed at by the rest of the country do you? These elite snobs have sneered at your state for as long as I can remember. The one most hurt by this elitist attitude was Roger Maris. How could his record be so summarily dismissed, as it was. It now seems his record was the only “Honest” one, as the ensuing home run records all seem derived from steroids. To think that this fine athlete went to his grave not having been properly honored for his accomplishments is almost heartbreaking. For shame. Had one of your Senators stood up and threatened baseballs reserve clause, they would not have felt so smug in attaching that asterisk to his record. Your phony RINO Senators could, even today, right this wrong, but they’re more interested in their Comb overs and enriching themselves in Washington. Joking about killing tourists, and robbing them, and you think that’s funny? It’s not, and if your state had a hair on it’s ass, you’d demand a retraction from this smarmy twerp and his network. And while you’re at it, demand that Maris get his rightfully, honestly, earned tribute.

I enjoyed the bit what I don’t enjoy is paying more in state income taxes than federal income taxes because of Nd’s fiscal incompetence and greed.

Oh come on, that was actually pretty funny! I don’t think anyone watching really believes that is how a typical North Dakotan speaks or acts, it was for humor’s sake. And if they do, their loss. North Dakota obviously was smart enough to have a surplus, and California is the one going bankrupt. Maybe we should start portraying Californians like that? hehe!

I’m still right about Roger Maris

In 12 seasons, Maris’ average season was .260-22 HR-71 RBI. In 41 post season games he hit just .217 with 6HR and 18RBI.
He led the league in homers just one year, and RBI twice. He was never considered a team leader, or one of the dominant players of his era. I don’t dispute that he is an athlete North Dakotans should be proud of, but those are simply not Hall Of Fame numbers. If they put everybody in who had a great season or two in the HOF, you’d have guys like Steve Finley, George Bell, Mike Scott, and Mark Davis in as well.

I knew that Raj, and am properly chastened. I’m still right about Roger Maris though. Let’s see how the elitists handle Laura Roesler who is fast becoming a world class athlete.

There’s an article today in the Fargo Forum about how the State Tourism Board is thrilled with this skit because they “can’t afford to buy this kind of advertising.” The article said they were even thinking of inviting Conan to North Dakota to search for the surplus and mailing him a wallet! hehe!
