Commission To Determine That 9/11 Attacks Preventable
From the Drudge Report:
The 9/11 commission is likely to conclude the attacks could have been prevented by the simple act of sharing information. In Phoenix in July 2001, an FBI agent wrote a memo warning that some young Arabs taking flying lessons might be terrorists. Had that warning made it to Clarke's counterterror shop, airlines might have begun bolting cockpit doors. But the commission doesn't want to make government bureaucrats even more risk-averse by hounding them.
So far, the 9/11 commission has created rancor among the nation's leaders, shifted the focus from the ongoing war on terrorism to water long since passed under the bridge and has added fuel to the fire of an already nasty Presidential election.
What do we get for all that?
Something we all already knew and a nice little bill for the effort sent to taxpayers.
