Comment Notifications

I have one reader who is having problems getting comment notifications from posts that she is subscribed to.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I don’t think I’ve missed any, but I’ve noticed that they’re taking considerably longer and that they’re arriving out of order for some reason.  I’d chalked it up to a problem on the part of my hosting service, but if you’re having other problems, maybe I’m blaming them where they don’t deserve it… this time.

I am also testing.

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.

I’m not sure.  I’ve tested this and I get the notification emails just fine sent by the Wordpress installation to my email account (not hosted on the same server).  There was zero delay at all.

I have noticed no delay. Then again, I have not posted many comments in the last 8 days.

I’m not sure, Aaron (who comments here a lot) has been having all sorts of problems with not getting her emails, etc.

I couldn’t duplicate the problem and I seem to be getting all of my notifications immediately, so I don’t know what the problem is.

I’ve been getting notifications.  Sometimes they’ve taken a while… which just means that your server is having problem sending it… not necessarily a WP problem.

Just last night, I suddenly got like 20 emails… I think it may be working again for some reason.  Don’t konw what you/I did to fix it, but it seems to be working… Let’s hope it keeps up! :-D

We did some updating of the plugin, though it seems odd that it would have been causing the problems you’ve been having.  Maybe it was just my server acting goofy.

Whatever, glad it seems to be fixed.
