Come To The Tea Party, Get A Free Autographed Copy Of Mark Levin’s Book

Here’s a treat Scott Hennen just announced on his show: Scott Hennen, who will be speaking at the Rally on the Mall tea party on Thursday July 2nd, got a special deal from his pal and fellow radio host Mark Levin on some autographed copies of his book, Liberty and Tyranny.
Scott has said that during the tea party he will pick out some folks with the best signs and give them a free copy. And, again, it’s more than just a great book. It’s a great book autographed by the author himself that you’ll get for free.
But, of course, you can’t get in on this if you don’t show up. And you should show up. And bring your family and friends too! This could be the largest protest event North Dakota has ever seen, but that won’t happen without you. I’ve heard from people coming from Minnesota, South Dakota and Montana. If they can make the drive, why can’t you?
Again, Thursday July 2nd from 6 – 8:30pm on the steps of the state capitol in Bismarck. Here’s a flyer to download, print out and distribute in your neighborhoods. Vote in the poll below if you’re giong to attend, and don’t forget to buy a t-shirt.

    Hand up.

I normally never read political books. I think they’re usually pretty trite. Shallow and self-serving.

But in Levin’s case I’m going to make an exception based on all the support it has gotten.

It is worth the read. For the more politically literate it’s a well worded rehash of what you already know. For the more politically ignorant it’s a good introduction.

The nice thing about lending it someone is that they have never heard of Levin and hense will have an open mind when reading it. If it was written by Limbaugh most people would automatically not want to read it because they’ve been convinced he’s a bag of wind by the media.

Buzz, the semi-literate racist, hates the idea of people reading books.

Its not that he hates reading books. Its just that he sees no point in opening one if there are only words instead of pictures.

Levin’s book is very well written and researched. You can tell the guy put a lot of thought into every sentence in the book. Zero fluff, unlike a lot of other pundit’s books.

    Buzz:
If books don’t influence your perspective on life, then what does? Do you just believe everything your mom and dad tell you, without thinking for yourself?

I don’t read the tripe that comes out as a general rule, but I do find books that give insight into the political process interesting.

One of my favorites is The Wisdom of Crowds> Why the Many Are Smarter Than the Few and How Collective Wisdom Shapes Business, Economies, Societies and Nations, which basically establishes an intellectual framework for why democratic systems work better than autocratic ones.

It also spells out the problems implicitly with having a biased media and how the new media may be playing a role in improving our democratic process (democracies can only make the best decisions when they are fully and accurately informed).

Anyway, looking for to reading Levin’s book.

It’s a good book to borrow around to people

This is exactly the mental capacity I would expect of a person who is week minded enough to change their life because they read a book.

Moszer, isn’t there a nice cult you could join, they have some very compelling points of view.

Well, I’ve already got 3 copies.. might as well go for a 4th.

It’s a good book to borrow around to people you want to sway a bit politically. Long enough to have meaning and get the point across, yet short enough not to scare people away who aren’t big readers.

    Tom:

Levin’s book is on the NTY’s No.1 list 12 out of the last 13 weeks

The NYT “best sellers” list, in spite of its name, is selected by the editors (informed by sales no doubt) and so isn’t a direct measure of popular the book is.

The fact it is fourth overall in Amazon sales says quite a bit more in that respect.

As does the comments by readers, who range across the spectrum politically.

After reading them, I’ve decided I’m going to get a copy of the book.

    One borrows books from another.
    One lends books to another.

Levin would be proud. Does anyone else think this guy sounds like a little elf with a clothes pin on his nose.

Aaah! Another shoot the messenger moment. Kinda like saying that Obama couldn’t possibly know anything about fiscal policy or foreign affair ’cause he’s too black and too skinny.

Levin’s voice just adds to the irritation factor. He’s Hannity’s evil little Gargoyle.

I hope he gets testicular cancer and Obamacare lets his junk rot off.

  • tom

Yep, Levin’s book is on the NTY’s No.1 list 12 out of the last 13 weeks without hawking it on MSNBC,CBS,NBC,ABC,etc, etc becuase it tells the truth. Some people just can’t handle the truth.

So what happens if the government decides to let your testes rot off, dino?

    Somehow I’m not surprised.

Nick, I haven’t read this one yet. I need to get it. Maybe I should make a cool sign so Scott will give me one of the autographed ones.
    ;-)

You should make a sign two. I’ll bet none of the three you have are autographed!
