CNN Planted Questions For The Democrats?

Looks that way.
According to the MySpace page of the girl (one Maria Luisa) who asked Hillary the “diamonds or pearls” question, every question at the debate last night was staged.
Which is pretty pathetic. CNN should be ashamed of itself for perpetrating such a fraud on its viewers.
Also, though, I wonder if CNN extended this same courtesy to Republicans. For instance, CNN broadcast a debate in New Hampshire back in June where the Republican candidates took questions from the audience. Were those questions planted?
I wouldn’t be happy about it if they were, but I’m willing to be they weren’t. Which would be pretty telling, if true.

The Democrats in the news media and running for office can’t stand scrutiny.

They’re already in cover up mode.

  • John

I see that the MySpace page of Maria Luisa is now set to private – friends only. Hmmmm. Do I smell a coverup by the Clintonites?

No proof needed. It is the way it is.
It is the same as having the questioners of our president (in townhall type meetings)prescreened and asking favorable qustions. I don’t approve of either.

Jenny baby, get a grip, you cite to other blogs as your proof. LOL. Keep trying.

Is that the best you got Jenny baby?

She’s got a first-person experience of the truth; what have you got, besides the usual Dem talking points?

I wouldn’t mind planted questions so much if they were valid questions, the type that provide answers that prove the individual is worthy of receiving my vote. The answer to the question Rob refers to might be useful to me if I were playing trivial persuit but the time would have been spent asking her to explain, in terms a simple person like myself can understand, questions similar to how she plans to pay for her health care plan.

Ya, Puzzle, I get pretty snippy when it comes to Hillary. BUT with such good reason…

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

Golfman- I have done HOURS of research this afternoon. I’m sick at the connection. I’m sick because I haven’t got the resources to nail it in the nead. (I did however, email Matt Drudge and others).

Is there no end to what they’ll do? I mean, we can’t even get real people to ask real questions? These people were fake.

I’m currently researching, but apparently some of the names were changed from the transcripts, because in interviews, they’re different. Kalid Khan is seen in websearches as having the first name Mohammed. Chris Jackson is really Chris Gallagher. Maria Luisa is Maria Parra-Sandoval. This is sick. Why would they change the names?

I’m currently researching an other one, who appears to have political connections, too. I won’t mention it here, as I don’t know that for sure yet, I’m just 50/50 on that, but if I get more sure, I’ll be sure to post the link.

I will not let this go, I watched that debate, and I feel lied to and deceived.

  • Puzzlefeet

I hardly doubt that Jenny Bea is an undecided democratic voter. Jenny Bea, get a grip on reality, of course the “democratic” debate is full of democrats. The candidates got tickets to give to whom they chose. As did the Republicans at their debates. Did you whine about that? Ah I bet not, you didn’t even bother to check.

Jenny, the audience was asked to write down 5 questions and a fun question. CNN then selected who would get to ask the question.

You are all are whining about this since Hillary “planted” a question at a campaign stop, so now you see conspiracies at every democratic debate.

Then there’s Jenny baby out there trying to feign outrage at being tricked. Get a grip, lady!

Oh, Jenny baby, by the way, CNN is not toast.

R108, the Republicans run their debates the same exact way. They give out tickets to their supporters, screen audience questions etc… It is standard operating procedures. When are you going to start cryin about the republicans? Oh, no wait, this is all Bill Clinton’s fault.

  • Bat One

The problem here is that you guys are conservatives. Therefore, by definition, you are capable of careful, rational thought. Thus, you are unable to comprehend
the Democrat rationalization for the planted questions, which is that since ALL the questions were apparently planted, this was a fair debate!

(You know how liberals just love the word “fair”… even if they are only tenuously and selectively aware of its meaning.)

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

Her name is NOT Maria Luisa. That must be the name on her myspace page. According to the transcripts of CNN’s debates, her name is Maria Parra-Sandoval (which you can hear her say, anyway) and…she worked for Harry Reid.

    http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/files/2005_CLA_Yearbook.pdf
(page 23 has her picture, here)

Interestingly enough, Kalid Kahn, the man who asked the racial profiling question is the president of the Islamic Council of Nevada. Big dude. If you websearch, you can find possible connections to him and Harry Reid, as it appears Harry Reid visited the mosque.

    http://www.lvmasjid.com/links/financial_needs.asp

Upon further search, and a link from someone on Ann Coulter’s forum, we will see that Maria Parra-Sandoval was an illegal alien, who came from Mexico as a child, but has since got her paperwork together.

However, it is no coincidence that that girl HAPPENED to be there, and HAPPENED to be picked to ask and HAPPENED to be called upon, yet HAPPENED to have worked for Harry Reid. If you websearch, you will find her name associated with him all over the internet.

Jeannie Jackson is a professional moonbat. There are too many links to put up, but we are currently searching about her possible connections to city council in a town just outside of Santa Ana, Ca. I will post that link if I find something that connects her.

Anwyay, I’m sick. I can’t beleive this is true. Do the research yourself, and you’ll see. Simply amazing.

Rob, I know you are new to the political world but it is standard operating procedure for debates to be conducted in this manner. A news channel is not going to allow someone to take the mike without knowing what the question is going to be. I would bet that CNN did the same thing at the R debate.

It is no different than when President Bush holds a town hall meeting and the questions from the audience are prescreened to prevent embarassing the pres.

    much ado about nothing.

Chris O- If I’m such an idiot, then how com you didn’t find out that Maria worked for Harry Reid, or that Khalid is no Average Joe, being president of the Islamic Society of Nevada or that LaShannon Spencer was the director of political affairs for the Democratic party in Little Rock Arkansas?

It has nothing to do with democratic activists attending debates. It’s about the specific questioners were presented to the American public as being “undecided democratic voters”, just like you or me, when in fact they are far from ordinary citizens, but instead have big backgrounds and political ties.

The ONLY thing left to discover is who picked these people? Don’t you find it odd, that these people just HAPPENED to get tickets and HAPPENED to be called upon?

If I’m such an idiot, then what I’ve found will surely be false. I DARE you to find one thing that is untrue, and being that I’m an idiot, that should be an easy task. I haven’t claimed to be an investigative reporter, but someone who did their homework. You, apparently satisfied to eat what they’re feeding you, can only resort to calling me names (how mature), rather than disputing what I’ve said, which you can’t.

That you don’t find any of this fishy is telling. But you know, (Well, maybe not) the New York Times reported about Maria Luisa Parra-Sandoval, as well. Some average random person, my ass. And if what you say is true about republcians, then prove it.

If the dems got the tickets to hand out as they chose, then why weren’t we told that, either? Especially in light of the lottery tickets at UNLV.

Prove it. You mean to tell me you don’t think if awfully strange that CNN stated these were undecided voters, randomly picked to ask questions- regular folks like you and me, when in fact they weren’t? You don’t find that odd?

All of my fellow democrat friends think it odd. But you know, CNN is so trustworthy, anyway. Why should I question- who am I to question?

  • Puzzlefeet

Jenny Baby, it is a non-issue that you bloggers are trying to gin up as some kind of democratic conspiracy. One would think before you make these accusations that you would at least check with the republicans to see if they do the same thing.

No, it’s just to easy to throw an allegation out there, feign some indignation, pretend you are some “undecided democratic voter”, have a hernia, spending the entire day trying to uncover some conspiracy that there were democrats in the audience who work for democrats, wrote down 5 questions when asked by CNN and they feign some more indignation that one of them asked a fluff question and is upset that she didn’t get to ask the environmental question.

Is that the best you got Jenny baby?

  • robert108

Now for all you incensed folks out there, this is the way the world works.

It’s the way the leftie world works.

They rigged the audience, they rigged the questions, and they rigged the responses after the debate.
CNN also “pre-reported” some of the answers, like the seemingly spontaneous inclusion of abortion into one of the questions. How did they do that?

  • Puzzlefeet

B1,ah, it’s all Bill Clinton’s fault, was waiting for that.

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

Right. Because CNN giving questions to people who are represented as asking their own questions is just good journalism, right?

How about CNN picking two former Clinton employees (Carville and someone from the Clinton administration who I’m forgetting now) to do the after-debate analysis. I guess that’s fair and objective too.

If this were Fox News feeding questions to the audience for Republicans Puzzled would be outraged. She’s not now, because she’s a partisan hack.

  • Puzzlefeet

The news reports indicated that the candidates each got a number of tickets to be handed out and the rest were given to UNLV to handed out on a lottery basis.

I’ve been involved in a number of political campaigns over the years, and I don’t know of a single one that didn’t have precautions as to whom would be allowed to asked questions to prevent inappropriate questions from being asked. It is standard operating procedure for debates at this level.

So no, Jenny baby I don’t find it odd since I know how both parties run their primary debates.

You are the one making the allegation of some democratic/news conspiracy.

Hey Jenny baby, you can question all you want; just to come here with your feigned indignation and claim to be one of those undecided democratic voters who feels lied to and deceived. Get a grip, lady.

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea
  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

Puzzle, I do beleive that you are holding onto the hope that this remains a non-issue. But with the fact that this is being discussed among liberals and conservatives alike indicates that people-you know, ordinary “undecided voters” don’t like this stuff too much.

And the fact that you don’t buy this (ha! Geez.) leads me to beleive that you’re a Hillary supporter. My linking to other blogs serves the purpose that this issue is NOT one among just the right wingers. I know that’s a hard pill to swallow, but a spooon full of sugar…you know. It’s okay that you don’t like it and you don’t have to beleive it, either. But you can’t refute it. You just keep calling me baby and telling me to get a grip. What a maverick you are!

  • Carol

Jenny Baby, it is a non-issue that you bloggers are trying to gin up as some kind of democratic conspiracy.

Right. Because blogs don’t matter, or something. Unless they’re making points that are politically convenient for Puzzled.

Frankly, if the Republicans had questions planted for them too, they’re just as bad as the Democrats. I’m not going to excuse them, despite your attempt at the “you guys did it too” defense.

  • MagicalPat

Looks like CNN was trying to create a ‘Boxers or Briefs’ moment for Hillary. You know, one of those sound bites that is supposed to make her look somewhat human.

They should have just asked her ‘Boxers or Briefs’.

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

Puzzle- let me pretend you’re normal for a second.

If I told you that I was going to pick a couple random people to ask you a few questions, every day Americans, average Joes, and they turned out to be something different than what I told you…did I lie?

Or perhaps that’s too much for you to “get a grip” on. Your bias is so telling. And you either really believe what you’re saying, that those WERE random everyday Americans, Average Joes, or perhaps you’re upset that you didn’t find out first.

  • ChrisO

Hey, Jenny Bea, maybe you could try distorting the truth a little less. Read the transcript. CNN described the questioners as “undecided voters.” You come up with “If I told you that I was going to pick a couple random people to ask you a few questions, every day Americans, average Joes,” Jesus, where do you get this? CNN used none of those descriptors. This was a Democratic primary debate. Do you think the undecided voters were Republicans who were undecided who they wee going to vote for in the Democratic primary?

And no, I didn’t know the girl worked for Harry Reid, or the woman was from Arkansas. So what? All of your posts on this subject are overheated red herrings. You’re playing the game where if you find out a fact that wasn’t announced, it must have been intentionally hidden. They describe each person in about one sentence. How much background are you expecting to get?

Have you ever been to a debate? Who do you think attends these things? Do you think your beloved “Average Joes” are getting their asses off the couch and going to that mob scene out of curiosity? It’s a natural occurrence for campaigns to try and get as many of their sympathisers as possible into these kind of events. And isn’t it possible that the strong positive response to Hillary from the crowd was reflective of the fact that she holds a huge lead in the polls there?

Face it, you’re breathlessly posting your stupid links as it the more links you post, the righter you are. Try posting somethig with some substance. And stop patting yourself on the back until you do.

Here’s a quick challenge for you. You seem offended that the questioners were identified as undecided voters. Yet I notice you haven’t posted anything tying any of them to a candidate. So why is it wrong to call them undecided? Or in your limited world view is it impossible for someone to intern for Harry Reid and still be undecided who she’ll vote for in the primary?

  • Bat One

Not at all, Puzzle. NOTHING is ever the fault of the Clintons.

Still, doesn’t answer the question about your excuses for previous Democrat misdeeds, does it?

No,Carol, I know that you are spouting the spin o’ the day, but if you do a bit of your own research, you will see that the participants were asked to write down 5 questions, one of which was a fun question. Please try to keep up if you’re coming to the party a bit late.

Oh and Carol as is everyone who watches CNN doesn’t know who James Carville is. And if you don’t you’ve been living in a cave since 1992. Give me a break, already. Keep tryin to manufacture a controversy where there is none.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of folks.

  • Bat One

If I had as little to offer the country as the Democrats have… all of them… I don’t believe I’d want someone “fair and balanced and unafraid” to be asking questions either.

  • Rudedude

Faux News lost the Dem debate hosting because they were just to eager to destroy the Dems. I can’t believe anyone can’t remember that they tried to make an issue of Obama’s middle name and LIED that Obama attended a Madrassa then they blamed Hillary for that fake info. They been lying so much, they should register with the Fed. Election Cmt.Faux LIED that Castro endorsed Hillary, that Hillary was booed while giving a speech. These same crazies who decry CNN, actually think Faux is Fair n Balanced. Hey they sued and lost when Al Franken called them a liar in his book. It has got to be sad when you lose in court over someone calling you a LIAR, especially when you’re supposed to be a News Org.

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

    Dear ChrisO,

Forgive me for not posting sooner, as I’ve been busy and haven’t taken the time.

For you to argue that democrat supporters go to democrat debates is completely redundant. Obviously there won’t be republicans going.

I’ll pose the same question to you as Puzzle- if I told you that I was going to have some random person, every day ordinary citizen ask you a question, and that person was ANYTHING but what I told you…did I lie?

CNN COULD have said that these people had big politcal backgrounds and HUGE democratic ties- (no one said they were tied to a candidate- you assumed that), CNN could have said something to the effect of these folks asking questions represent the views of alot of democrats-which would have been true-and that would not have been a lie. It’s their show, they can have on whoever they want, from where ever, with which ever background. But when they tell you something about that person, and it turns out to not be true…

(Don’t you think it’s calling liberals lazy to assume that some regular joe democrat won’t get off his lazy ass to go to a debate? I know MANY active liberals, livng here in NY, some that have been to debates- REAL regular folks.)

So, I’m not sure what you don’t get. And if I’m an idiot- prove me wrong. Prove what I said to be wrong. And prove all the other bloggers- the left wing nuts and right wing nuts all talking about the same thing and saying the very same things, wrong. Go on and do it. Prove the Daily Kos- those kOOKs- who have said the EXACT same things, wrong.

Just because you think it’s alright for CNN to call an apple and orange doesn’t mean the rest of the world thinks like that. How big does the lie have to be, anyway? Furthermore, that CNN would do that at democratic debates, it’s safe to assume it’s done at the republican ones, too- which means that it’s all pointless to even watch, because it’s just the promotion of the person they like.

So, oh smart one- like I said- if I told you that a regular person, every day average citizen was going to ask you a question, and they turned out not to be- did I lie?

And if you fail to grasp that concept, then it looks like I may not be the ONLY idiot.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

I would be undecided too if I had to choose from the Democratic candidates. Just when I think one is as bad as it gets? It gets worse! Hillary’s voice is like fingernails on a chalk board. Obama is nice to look at. BUT when you hear his ideas it gives me the creeps! John Edwards puts me to sleep. Biden is an idiot. AND the otherones are worthless… Where is Ralph Nader?

    Interesting Interview.

(Chris- for got to answer your question: I do not believe (in your example) that Maria Luisa worked in Harry Reidtard’s office in Las Vegas and DC HAPPENED to be lucky enough to get 1 out of 100 tickets by lottery -out of how many students?-to go to the debate, and HAPPENED to be a person who got to submit a question and HAPPENED to be called upon to ask that question. No, in my LIMITED WORLD VIEW, I just don’t see that happening. I think I may just win the real lottery first.)

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

Ken… Puzzle’s reaction is typical for any liberal wrong doing.

  • Patrick

The questions were portrayed as being those thought up by the audience. When they’re really thought up by CNN producers…that’s wrong.

Please list one source that you claim shows the questions were thought up bi CNN producers. That is flat out not true. CNN requested questions from audience members. Maria says she listed 5. One had to be a “fun” question, and for that she gave the Diamond or pearls question.

What pissed her off was when she was asked to ask a question, she was told she could only ask her fun question.

Now for all you incensed folks out there, this is the way the world works. Your hero, our Dear Leader, has been going to scripted events for his entire presidency.

This is a democratic debate and democrats go to it. So the audience is almost universally made up of democrats. And the democrats get to ask the questions that they compose.

Now what is all the surprise that people connected to leading Nevada democrats get to go to the head of the line. This is an event, of democrats, in Nevada, and golly gee, there is such surprise that a person who worked for Harry Reid, a democrat, no less, would get to ask a question.

Wait, I see the light. This is unbelievable. Incomprehensible. Those danged librels are up to their no-good dirty tricks agin. If CNN has its way, we’ll end up with bitch Hillary running the country, and it will be over fer sure.

  • http://pcexposed.blogspot.com/ Jenny Bea

I thought it would be note worthy to mention that the democratic debate that FOX news was going to moderate- the one that the democrats pulled out of in light of an “unfairness” issue- was to be held in ……NEVADA. If FOX news would have held that debate, they would have been asking the questions.

I can CERTAINLY see why the democrats would rather CNN host thier Nevada debate, being so much more moderate, and all.

Something else re Maria Luisa Parra-Sandoval’s now private MySpace page: it says she’s 15, even though other spources list her birth year as 1985. I believe the idea that she is a 22 year-old former Reid intern and UNLV student to be more likely. I’m not MySpace heavy, but is age something you have to update or do you just provide a birthday and it calculates it for you? If the latter, it seems possible that the age was intentionally manipulated to make the private page seem more reasonably expected.

Let me appologize for dominating this board- it isn’t what I intended to do. However, just when I think I’m going to take a break, more things keep tripping me up and I find out even more.

Why does everyone keep referring to her as Maria Luisa? Why because that’s her MIDDLE NAME! Maria Luisa Parra-Sandoval. Wanna see her picture again?

And if it didn’t get any better, Harry Reid has a listing of his staff:

(Please note that when searching the two of them, do not include her middle name as they don’t use it in their records)

More interestingly enough, here’s more info (with PICTURE) of her scholarship write up. Sounds like a nice girl, but still a PLANT!

If that weren’t enough, there have been apparent connections to the “unknown” woman who asked about the supreme court justices (which Suzanne Malveaux stepped all over), and according to Dan Riehl’s site, she is linked to the democratic party in …*drumroll* ARKANSAS…Look it up! (she is listed as her name unknown in the CNN transcripts)

Man this just keeps getting better. I don’t know how I’m going to be able to sleep.

Well, at least now we know the REAL reason that the Democrats would have nothing to do with FOX News hosting their “debates.” Fox has too much integrity to go along with the liberals’ shameful sham.

This isn’t a series of debates. Its Snow White and the Dwarfs doing one interminable infomercial for raising taxes and surrendering American sovereignty.

    HILLARY THE LEFTIST PUPPET CANDIDATE

Lacking for a strong real candidate, the dominant Leftist Democrats have run Hillary. The problem is that she has long been observed to be emotionally and intellectually deficient.

Their clever solution is to systematically change her image; under the assumption that the American People are for the most part too simple minded to know the difference between realities and illusions.

To make the Hillary-puppet appear to be compassionate, meticulous studies are made of the social and economic needs of various social and economic goups, such as homosexuals and low income elderly voters. To see who does the research for the emotional Hillary-puppet displays, Google: Mark Penn.

To make the Hillary-puppet appear to be mentally superior, questions must be planted and answers must be rigorously rehearsed. To see who does the research for these brilliant questions and answers, Google: Mark Penn.

The fatal flaw is that the small group of Leftist Democratic masterminds behind this Hillary-puppet Show is just not quite clever enough to successfully pull off their scam. Moral depravity and intellectual bankruptcy are their self-limiting handicaps.

The World is closely watching the American Cultural War; Google: Who Would the World Elect.

Anwyay, I’m sick. I can’t beleive this is true.

Why not, and why be sick about them?

Well, I see Patrick basically made my point, but I’m going to echo it. Jenny Bea, you are an idiot. You spent hours finding out that Democratic activits attend Democratic debates? I know you guys think everything’s another Rathergate, but really, doing a Google search doesn’t make you an investigative reporter. Is there any indication that the girl tried to hide her identity? Or should she have prefaced her question by listing every Democratic Party sponsored event she’s attended? Back away from the keyboard.

    Puzzle,

Rob, I know you are new to the political world but it is standard operating procedure for debates to be conducted in this manner. A news channel is not going to allow someone to take the mike without knowing what the question is going to be. I would bet that CNN did the same thing at the R debate.

Obviously, CNN shouldn’t let just any yahoo grab the mic and ask whatever they want. But on the flip side, suggesting questions to the people is an entirely different thing. That’s not screening, that’s manipulation.

The questions were portrayed as being those thought up by the audience. When they’re really thought up by CNN producers…that’s wrong.

    But nice stab at spin.
